I want to throw something against the wall now.

I'm a fan of guys who Don't get the god damn respect that they fucking deserve. Bo Hovart in Vancouver is a good example

Bobby was one too

Bobby is a sure fire 1st ballot Hall of Famer. I think he gets plenty of respect. He's just not worth 20 million dollars at this point in his career.

It's not often an NFL team says goodbye to 2 future first ballot HOFers on the same day.

I just read that Bobby and Russ started in Seattle on the same day in 2012, and they are now leaving on the same day in 2022. Dam, sad.

Time fly’s … Helluva run, both gave everything they could …

No it won’t, just scary to imagine, and it’s not that Jimmy sucks, he’s ok, but not first round worthy….
I don't think it would take a 1st rounder to get Jimmy. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd. Maybe less if you throw Lock in the deal. Lock and a 4th? Who knows? Jimmy is hurt and the 9ers are clearly moving on from him and going to go with Lance. I think he can be had for cheap.

I’d take him over Lock for sure …

Screw trading for Jimmy. What does that do for Seahawks? Sure he’s better then Lock but he’s not taking the Seahawks anywhere. Winning a extra game or two does not matter, in fact the Seahawks should just write off wins in 2022.

Yeah, it’s gonna be a rough 2022 … Should we suck, it sets up up nicely for the next draft, 2 first rounders, one high, one maybe mid round, plus an extra 2nd ..

I remember when I got my Wilson Jersey for Christmas 2012 and my sister was like Put it on. I said nope and hung it up and a season later it was signed and mounted in a frame covered in glass. Going to hold onto it till I am old and gray.

If a team is going to trade away the franchise I guess it had to be the Seahawks. Of course it had to be.

Makes zero sense to resign Penny now when you think about it.

If they got Garapollo, they'd still need a solid QB for the 6-10 games Garap inevitably misses due to injury.

How do you figure?

PC/JS aren't going to blow the whole thing up, at least in their minds. I'm sure they have convinced themselves that some other QB can be had that will be as good as Russ or nearly as good.

To me, this is a throwaway type year that they'll use as an opportunity to show loyalty to Geno Smith for his time as backup. They'll run him out there as the starter for a season while they figure out a way to mop up this mess for '23 and beyond. The other vets on the team will support it, and Geno has paid the dues in the league needed to get the young players to listen. He won't be good or anything, but it's easy for me to envision this happening given who our HC is.

Jimmy G is intriguing, but only if it's basically for nothing (a free agent signing if SF cuts him, or for like a 5th round or later pick). Looks like SF saves around $25M if he's cut, and '22 is the last year of his deal...
