God if we sign Baker Mayfield....

I think even God would pardon me from my suicide...

Eh vaginas do basically nothing but ruin men and their careers... they basically hit the boob/butt gene on the way through the branches and free fall into money..

That said... Wilson has been deteriorating steadily as we've had him. Yes the 'cook' thing was cool, until it took less than half a season to figure it out... Defense get Wilson now... just keep him in the pocket for about 2 seconds, he'll roll out and try to juke you with moves he no longer has in his mid 30s... and then huck it downfield............

And that's about it. I find it amusing the Raiders signed Chandler Jones to a contract. That right there is 2 losses with Wilson.

Yeah but then the risk they resign him becomes a worry. Browns are going to want a second round pick for him,of that I have no doubt. Don’t want him and don’t want to give up a pick for him.
Giving up one of the 2nd rounders we got from Denver for Russell Wilson isn't a bad trade at all personally. We'll still have the other 2nd rounder next year

Disagree. Mayfield will be a rental. Not worth a 2nd at all. We can suck AND keep our picks just as easily.
He's not due for a new contract for a few years now.

He'll be looking for an extension next season if he's interested in staying.

What I meant was at most we give up a 2nd rounder for Baker Mayfield. Realistically I could see us giving up a couple late rounders for him.

Mayfield is a bust. Giving up a 2nd for him is a expensive waste of draft capitol we just got . Terrible idea, simply terrible. Only thing worse is they do trade for him then give him an extension. That would cause me to lose my mind.

Just give Baker Mayfield a chance. He's a pretty decent leader when healthy. I think he'd be pretty good for us in Seattle.

Be a mistake. Like a lot of QB drafted to be a franchise QB that bust there is always enough times they click that teams find themselves torn to extend or let them walk. Very rarely does extending them work out ( see Goff as a prime example) and it’s expensive. Let some other team trade for him and make that mistake, Seattle need to avoid it like it’s radioactive.

Well if we don't trade for Baker we'll still draft a QB.

I wouldn't be against it except that it will cost a valuable draft pick. Just not worth the gamble for little upside when we have so many holes to fill. It's a different story if he was a FA but he's not.

Maybe, maybe not. We get a lot more leverage if we draft someone though. 4 or 5 years of cheap control vs 1 year of a known underachiever.

What holes do we have to fill? We have a decent group of guys in our secondary with Brown and Burns. Diggs back at safety. Our front 7 is decent as well. Only position I feel we need to address is RB with Carson and Penny injured too often.

Corner, Pass rush, Oline... You know, the pieces you should be solid at before adding the next franchise QB. The way this team has drafted lately we need every pick we can muster to solidify those positions. 2nd round picks are way more valuable than oft injured average QBs.
