Hell no to Baker Mayfield. I'd rather waste our last draft pick on a punter so he can hold a clip board for our ST's coach.
I won’t be excited to get him at all. Looks like a bust, on the final year of his contract. Be a rental and then the decision to resign him. Sounds like a disaster in the making.

There's nothing there. He's a below average QB that has zero upside. Complete waste of a draft pick that could go to a spot that needs filling.

28m+ per for adams, thats absolutely insane. I dont see how we keep metcalf, we should get what we can for him this year or tag and trade him next year.

Metcalf will cost to sign, but hard to replace. I’m not against at least seeing what he would fetch. Raiders gave a first and second for Adams then a huge contract. Also would Metcalf be willing to resign with the Seahawks given the QB problem?

If we sign Baker Mayfraud, I'm out... literally out.

The Super Bowl and everything, Pete Carroll at that point IMO is the worst coach in NFL history.

Or maybe this is click bait rumors? Pete hasn’t traded away any picks.

No he hasn’t yet but they’re kicking the tires on Baker and It’s a guarantee the Browns will want draft picks… Biggest disaster we can do is give up the the very good draft stock we just got..

Kicking tires maybe or speculation because we have the QB position open, with only Lock to fill it?

I’m open to other guys competing for the job, but I’m not open to watching our good draft stock go away because our caching staff gets impatient .. Pete can be a gambling man sometimes and we need some good young players over the next couple years ..

Giving up draft stock would be a crime if Pete does that for Mayfield … A Seahawks crime ! I’d send the Seahawks police after him !

Most likely. Low risk football that requires a top tier defense, which the Seahawks don't have.

Eh for now if I had to gamble money those top picks will be used on defensive players.

It all depends on what draft picks we are talking about. Certainly they shouldn't be giving up any of the picks they got from Denver.

But a couple of day 3 picks or maybe a 3rd round pick might be worth the risk.

Sure. But to get this defense to be an elite defense they basically need to hit on every pick. That just isn't realistic.

Would imagine Seattle keeps Metcalf... Gotta remember QB is going to be cheap for the next 4 years... and Lockett's big money will be up before Metcalf resigns. It will also be VERY interesting to see how Metcalf does with a new QB/rookie (I'm convinced Seattle is drafting a QB in the 1st/2nd). He had the luxury of playing with one of the best deep ball/sideline throwing QBs in the league, which favors his game.

Seattle is going to have a FUCK ton of cap money in 2024 when they are likely trying to make an SBOWL run assuming they get a decent QB out of the draft. The fact Seattle is not completely blowing up the team at the moment and resigning some older players and improving positions makes me think they're trying to do what New England did last year with Mac Jones.

HOPEFULLY compete this year for a playoff spot by surrounding a new QB with enough talent to make it work... if that new QB pans out, build it up a bit more through the draft this year/next as well as the experience gained from 2022, and then go ALL in 2024.

Later round picks sure, that can be worth it …

Wasting the 9 on a 2nd round rated QB when we could potentially land an elite defender or OT would be a fireable offense.

You and I share the sentiment of us drafting a QB next year in a sense. However if we can get Baker Mayfield for late round picks that would be a win-win for our future.

Yeah but then the risk they resign him becomes a worry. Browns are going to want a second round pick for him,of that I have no doubt. Don’t want him and don’t want to give up a pick for him.
