who will be our starting QB come september?

just a thread to get a little discussion going i suppose. ive come to the point where i no longer care who is our starting QB, as long as he knows what a football looks like. until im given a reason too, i have absolutely no faith to believe in our offense as a unit. t-magic busting out 70 yard td runs is not a unit

Nebraska needs to get back to the days of producing Outland/Lombardi trophy level offensive lineman before skill players will start producing consistently.

I'd hate to start another year with a freshman QB, but if Martinez can't stop making stupid mistakes then I'm all for anyone else to have at it.

i wouldn't exactly like to street with a new QB either. but carnes looks like he knows what to do if the pocket starts breaking down. and his thought process isn't "say hike, get the ball, pretend like im looking for a receiver, jk im running hahahaha"

TM still throws like he's a High Schooler, however Brion does have a year on the scout team at least right?

that he does. and thats why i don't sympathize with people who said TM was only a freshman. he was a REDSHIRT freshman, so he had a year under his belt. he had just as much experience as Cody, so there was no excuse for saying "well hes just a freshman!!"

besides, TM is a cocky SOB, and i think he is a cancer to the team. so even if he is the best QB, which i don't think he is, i don't want him on the field, i want a QB who has skills, but is also a team player and willing to be a leader. and this is why i will be applying for thet head coaching job when pelini is gone

I hope Beck will use his experience to pick a guy who gives the Whole Team a chance to win, without the QB draw up the gut play after play, also to a QB who doesn't use both hands to throw the ball. Better sooner than later cause whichever one it is will need all the rep's he can get. I know Bo likes to play open competition, which is good, but it's not always a good sign for the team when that includes starting QB

or a QB that does sideline shovel passes when there is a D-lineman standing in between him and the receiver....or a QB that throws that sideline pass, then catches it himself after it bounces of of said d-lineman, and then makes it a 2 yard run

out of all the players on the roster right now, Cody is my favorite, however he is not my favorite QB. i love the guy, and i wish he would excel. but just think he is a good backup at best, and a position change might be best for him. but then again that was in watsons offense. who knows what he can do in the new system!
