Just to take your minds off FA & the Draft for a minute.
I got to go w/ Forte. Though A.J. & Josh come in a close 2nd.
Matt played all 16 games. Took punishment every week . And still produced big play after big play.
A case could be made for every guy on the O-line as well. Since we haven't seen 1 here in a while.
Briggs is the only 1 I could suggest on the D side. Maybe Corey for moving to DT and playing average there.
Just like your thoughts.
Who was your MVP?

No doubt I go with Alshon. He emerged as a force in this league, two record setting games over 200 yards gave us the gift that we can finally stop hearing the name Johnny Morris as the great bear receiver.

Meh... last year wasn't a guy where one player really stood out and made a difference.

Forte, AJ, and Marshall. Hell, maybe even Martellus. Going without either of those guys into a game would have been equally as crushing of a blow to this offense.

That's all I'm praying for this season. PLEASE... let this group stay healthy together for a full season. I just get the feeling Marshall is due for a bad injury. He plays so damn hard.

I have to disagree w/ you there Rich. Forte played all 16 games. Took more punishment then anyone and still produced. And that w/his back-up having an off year.

disagree with the guys opinion on a question you asked.

Why would you disagree with richig? You asked the question "who was "you're" mvp for last season" and then you disagree with his choice? LOL.....what about the linemen who played every offensive snap? They took more punishment than Matt......Matt Forte didnt play every offensive snap. SMH.

I say AJ because he probably made it possible to see he can not only play along side Marshall, he can replace Marshall, and rebuilding the defense will get alot more help if Marshalls 10 million per is not on the payroll. Yes AJ is gonna need to get paid too, but that would be about 40 million in cutler, forte, marshall and alshon.

I mean, he was great, but he didn't set the world on fire. He didn't do anything that AJ or BMarsh didn't do.

MVP is tough....have to go with Forte. If the question is who made the biggest difference this year, it'd be AJ. If it's who should get a runner-up MVP, or the feel-good MVP, I'd say McCown.

You're right I did ask the question.
But I had to disagree , because he said nobody stood out.
And I have to disagree w/ you also . Nobody took more punishment than Matt.
O-line are supposed to deliver hits.
A RB takes the most abuse in the game. There's no debating that.

Thanks for your input. That's what I was looking for.
Seems some guys are just looking for an argument.

Sorry 63bears40..... when a question is proposed on who we think is the MVP of the 2013 Chicago Bears......there is no wrong or right answers......everybody has their own opinions and in this instance they are all correct.....that is my reasoning for questioning why you would disagree with someone's own opinion on who they thought was the MVP.......now with that said...you can agree or disagree with took more punishment......just because you are "supposed" to deliver hits doesn't mean you do not take any less punishment.......the running back takes a fair amount of abuse but to say that there is no debate onwho takes the most abuse in any given game is wrong........

Forte. Running, receiving and blocking. Probably not the best at just 1 of those but I cannot think of a running back in the league who does all of that as well as he does. Best all-around back in the league IMO.

So, who in you're mind takes more abuse than a Rb who gets the ball 20+ times a game?:lame:

I can think of at least 4 others

So, who in you're mind takes more abuse than a Rb who gets the ball 20+ times a game?:lame:

In my humble opinion the offensive line is the most abused in the game......if a running back has 20+ carries and 5+ receptions he may not even get touched on some of the plays.....a lineman probably gets hit on 98.5% of the plays which also include punts, fgs, and maybe kickoffs...... its an opinion and not a right or wrong answer if you are asking who my mvp of the 2013 Bears are.......

IMO , a RB Usually gets hit every time he touches the ball . A Few cases be made where he runs untouched to the endzone . But O-lineman are usually bigger than the guys they are facing.
If you're going to make an argument , I'd have gone with the D-lineman.
