If im Michigan my first 2 calls are Brad Stevens and Chris Beard. Both longshots but both home run hires

After that Donovan would be my next call .

If you're still empty then you go to the other guys being talked about because they're all kind of the same on the "wow Michigan hired them?" scale .

Stevens would be an amazing hire, but like you said a long shot. IMO I think you go with a young up-and-comer

You are not thinking clearly. Probably a symptom of your syphilis
Stevens has a better job than Michigan.

Beard is in a much better position at TTech than Michigan. Cupboards are empty at the second best basketball conference vs being in decent shape in a one team conference and that one team had it’s worst year in 15 years.

Let's just say the entirety of your statement
So you think coaching at a top NBA team with huge history is a worse job than Michigan who the fans didn’t know existed between the Fab5 and 2012?

Does Michigan play in the second best conference in college basketball? Is Michigan not losing their top 3 scorers? Is the Big12 not an easier conference with really only one elite team that just fell flat on its face? Losing Culver’s will be a huge hit but Michigan is not in a better position to compete as they sit right now.

I say they go after Whoever they want, but if they can steal Shaka Smart, they are set for a while.

I doubt that any big name is going to UM unless they have a ton of baggage. They'd be signing up to play 2nd fiddle to Izzo in state and 2nd fiddle to Harbaugh on campus. And as I mentioned above, even if they performed significantly better than Harbaugh, Harbs will still earn 3x as much and get all the love.

Viewed that way. But Clemson wasn't exactly a destination job when Dabo took it!

Since when did Michigan hoops become a destination job? Ain't like it is Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, etal.

Michigan is a top 10-15 all time program imo
