He looked pretty washed most of last year. Maybe another year removed from that Achilles will be a positive. But guys his age are always a risk.
Probably true but look at the Steelers current QB situation. If it's not Rodgers or Wilson than maybe send a late round pick and give Cousins a shot.

i think an opportunity will present itself for Pittsburgh. Maybe they love a guy in this draft and he's there at 12 and they make a move up. The position makes people do some crazy shit if feeling desperate, which pitt should be

I dont really see any point. He performed as well as mason Rudolph can. Achilles are no joke. The guys that do even make it back are almost assuredly never the same. Rare exception, they come back fine. Like fixing wildly inaccurate qbs. Every year theyre drafted for intangibles. But 999/1000 times they dont change. Josh allen the rare exception. I think, the steelers think with metcalf, a decent qb, and a draft pock or two….they can contend.

I think the Steelers should probably just resign Russ instead of waiting on Rodgers to decide what he wants - I think they would have about the same amount of success with Russ and he’s not a locker room distraction like Rodgers is. If they want they can take a QB somewhere in the draft and see if they can develop them into being a QB of the future, but I think they should probably just go with Russ again.

I think Wilson is Plan C.

Rodgers is Plan B (higher ceiling, if you're an optimist).

There is no Plan A.

LOL.
I just don’t think there’s much difference between Wilson and Rodgers at this point, and Wilson isn’t a locker room distraction like Rodgers is.

Yeah Wilson is the more logical choice. Also, they don't lose one of their prime 3rd or 4th round compensation picks for 2026 that they gained. Thanks to the Fields and Moore Jr signings.
