Browns have had more success with Flacco as the starter than with Deshaun - it’s crazy that Flacco got them into the playoffs in 2023.
It is amazing. He would be just as useful as Wilson and the same as Rodgers without the drama.

Side topic really would be super entertaining if Jameis Winston was signed. Could only imagine that locker room with Winston, DK and Pickens.

I dont really see any point. He performed as well as mason Rudolph can. Achilles are no joke. The guys that do even make it back are almost assuredly never the same. Rare exception, they come back fine. Like fixing wildly inaccurate qbs. Every year theyre drafted for intangibles. But 999/1000 times they dont change. Josh allen the rare exception. I think, the steelers think with metcalf, a decent qb, and a draft pock or two….they can contend.
A descent QB is tough to find lately. Rudolph is back but I doubt that gets Steelers nation excited so I'm guessing draft a QB?

i think an opportunity will present itself for Pittsburgh. Maybe they love a guy in this draft and he's there at 12 and they make a move up. The position makes people do some crazy shit if feeling desperate, which pitt should be
You might be correct in thinking they have a QB in mind.

I think the Steelers may take a QB with one of their later draft picks, I don’t see them drafting one in the first round.

Most likely will be d-line in the first round.
Probably so, given that Heyward is aging, they could use another strong guy on the D-Line, and they addressed their receiver need by getting DK.

At least he won't cost as much as Rodgers. I get the feeling your FO has someone in mind to draft.
Rumors starting about jaxson dart. I think they thought they could keep fields cheaper. And he bounced. Then they were exploring a few folks and lost out. Already burned russ …and tomlin loves rodgers so they went there.
Now theyre boned.

until mike tomlin and his merry band of useless fucks leave the franchise, it doesn't really matter who the quarterback will be.
Yeah I didn’t understand how they didn’t move on at the end of the season this year.

By overpaying for Rodgers they will most likely lose out on their 3rd round compensation pick for next year. That might not seem like much but when you have a heap of a team that extra 3rd round pick could be huge to trade up for better value in the 2026 draft.

Russ is the more logical choice at this point out of the two because of that, have a feeling they burned that bridge. Tomlin better hope Mason Rudolph leads him to a .500 record again. Because so help us all, that is way more important than actually getting a better draft position to fix your team.
