Who is ready to admit Mitch was not the real problem. Now I don't think he was or would have been worth the 2nd pick but he could have been pretty good with a real coach and system. Mitch got screwed. Is it clear enough now? @ richig.

Most of us here wanted Nagy gone this past offseason. But Trubisky was bad. There’s a reason no team will consider starting him.

He will be a starter again. Teams have noticed Nagy was the fraud and Mitch was screwed over. I'll bet he starts somewhere in the near future. Someone will trade for him. I'm not saying he will be great but he is talented enough to get a second shot as a starter. This league is QB starved.

League is qb starved yet none of the teams that needed one, which comprised coaches/scouts/GMs/multiple people at personnel choosing levels of NFL franchises would even consider him. You have your answer noon.

Been obvious to me for a long time.


I’d have fired Pace and Nagy way before trading for Foles or drafting Fields.

I've always looked at Trubisky as kind of a poor man's Alex Smith

Mobile , decent QB, seems to somehow win in spots others can't, not worth where he was taken but still vastly underrated

Well... Trubisky went 29-21 in 50 starts with Chicago in the lasr 50 games Chicago has played with another starter theyre 14-36 includibg 6-14 since drafting Trubisky

This is the saje argument i had with Wash fans about Smith. At sone point when you have a QB who wins when he starts and you lose when anyone else starts you need to call ut what it is even if it doesnt look like you want it to

When a guy wins 58% of his starts for you and other QBs win 28%..... then it is what it is

There is a reason Mitch had little interest as a free agent. Mitch will be in league a long time if he wants too, as a back up

He's not consistently accurate and not at great at reading plays.

I think at that time they did not know for sure if it was the QB or coach. They now know the coach and system was very bad. Also Mitch needed time away from the Bears and Nagy to regain his confidence. He will start again somewhere. It will happen. He will get another chance. Now how he will do is a guess. But he will do better then he did here IMO. He might even be decent in the right system. We'll find out one day. IMO

Mitch's down fall in Chicago was holding the ball too long and throwing late. Much like what we saw Sunday with Fields.

Its almost as though playing against shitty Big 10 defenses surrounded by 5star receivers and o-linemen doesn't give you all the tools you need to play in the NFL. The coaching staff might need to develop you.
