That makes no sense. For decades, it's about that # in the tens position.

Your logic would say 1990 season was part of the 1980s decade. No, 1990 was part of the 1990s decade, so is 1999. 2000 is part of the 2000 decade and 2010 is part of the 2010s decade and goes until 2019. 2020 is part of the 2020s decade
.

You both are arguing different arguments. Decades and centuries technically start at the 1 not the zero. Since there was no year zero. But this thread was asked who will be the team of the 2010's.

So, the new millenium actually started 1/1/2001? I might be wrong, but I remember it being a big deal when it was 1/1/2000.

Gorilla, it's simply the 2010 - 2019 SEASONS.

Pack, Giants, Ravens and Seahawks so far.

Why are we arguing a simple fact. It is not even debatable. Next discussion? :suds:

Ultimately though, i think you have to use 2009-2010 season as the beginning of the 2010's... And that is because it seems like all we are actually looking at is championships and not seasons... And as we all know their have been 5 championships in the 2010's... Thats why i consider there to be 5 more seasons left... But either way it really doesnt change the question of the thread at all...

but i do agree it is a verty nice ring... My father and I are planning on coming to seattle to watch them play the giants... very excited...

Gorilla. That is EXACTLY what you were arguing, stating or believing = incorrect. :suds:

No you have it really confused now... What was being argued was that the 2010 decade really starts in 2011... All I said was factual...

I don't see the broncos doing it. They'd have to find a QB first.

Niners are an intelligent choice. If they make RG3 a real QB it's Washington though.

How is the weather on Mars? :laugh3:

Let's revisit with the next post which is exactly what you said, Gorilla.

What is your position now?

:wtf2: That my Giant fan, is 100% incorrect.

1. 2009 -10 is not the beginning of the 2010's.
2. As we all know, there have been 4 championships in the 2010's. NOT 5 as you stated above.

So have you changed your position because at this juncture, you're on Long Island and are going in circles.

You have to win a SB to even qualify. You could go to 10 SB's, lose them all and could never qualify
for team of the decade. It's about Lombardi Trophies.

You could win 3 Titles and miss the playoffs the other 7 years and be team of the decade if no other
team won 3 titles. There is very little debate here. Just simple common sense.

:suds:
Is that the qualification? Thank you for that rule explanation. What if no team wins more than one SB? This could happen with only 6 years left and a very tight group of playoff contenders. Who would be the 'Team of the Decade' then? Winning one SB and never getting back to the playoffs is the better team?

That is the count so far this decade. For those who don't know how to count , it starts with 0 thru 9, pay attention next time in Kindergarten.

Too early to say 49ers. Right now, we're the Buffalo Bills of the of the decade. Maybe the Eagles.

I am thinking it is not going to be the 49ers. If they are going to be, they need to do it in the next few seasons. They are not so young anymore. They have no receivers catching the ball except Vernon Davis (who now has his own brand and thinks going to practice will hurt his brand). A running back who is very consistent in being top 10-15, but is starting to show his age. Defense is still very strong, but I can see age showing one of these years.

They do have the talent and are still capable of being Team of the 2010s, but right now, I would be surprised. I think they will go from Super Bowl hopeful to Playoff hopeful.

Maybe the rest of us didn't spend as many years in kindergarten as you, but when you count. You start at 1, always...

But that is besides the fact that this discussion deals with the 2010's which would include 2010. But technically 2010 was last decade

Seahawks all the way.... Young team loaded with talent... Up and coming qb that will only improve ... Seattle's defense will once again be top dog next year... There intact for a dynasty

A) Jan 1, 2010 to Dec 31, 2019 is 10 years.
B) Jan 1, 2011 to Dec 31, 2020 is 10 years too.

Which one is "The Decade" A or B ?

I have my Answer, which one do you pick?
I predict that 90+% will pick the same one.
