Raving lunatic
we need to kick the Ravens in the nuts.
I agree. And I think the Bengals have become more willing to do the one-year "prove-it" deals with free agents that can help immediately. Larry Ogunjobi just had a terrific year with the Bengals. He was allowed to play his best position and he got a lot of single-teams given that he played next to DJ Reader and Trey Hendrickson this season. I think they should be in the market for several of these types of guys this offseason.I think that win has done a couple of important things:
1-It has galvanized the fanbase. This team is the same old Bengals. There is reason to hope and believe, and its all because of Burrow.
2-I think veteran free agents are going to take notice and want to come here and be a part of something. Russell Wilson just tweeted (or said) that there's something special going on here. So if you're a good veteran player, who hasn't had team success, maybe you come in for a visit and let Burrow sell you.
I think of someone like Zietler (it won't be him, because I think he signed a multi-year deal with Balt), good player, steady, reliable, won't break the bank, andhasn't had any team success since leaving here. If we can lure a couple of free agents of his caliber, we can stay at the top of the division and conference.
Yeah, I saw that on the NFL footer ticker last night. I was bummed. We have done a decent job of collecting talent the last several years under Taylor with Brown. Hopefully it doesn't set the development back too far if he does get hired away.Wait.... We have a scout?
