And I have a bit of a concussion with some whiplash as well, but I'm sure you'll just think I'm faking.

Thats what Recchi told me... Sabres/fans are just a bunch of diving liars.

For the Sens I'd say it's definitely Zack Smith. I've gotta agree with kenny here. He's quietly becoming one of the best 3rd line centers in the league.

Jared Cowen deserves a ton of credit too. He reminds me a lot of Chara when he was younger except he can skate a bit better.

Shame to say but it's the two most recent additions, Mark Letestu and Nikita Nikitin.

Letestu just goes out and plays every shift. No drama, nothing fancy, just goes out there and goes til the tank is empty and gets off the ice. I've been impressed by him.

As for Nikitin, I was really expecting to just hate him right from the start. And that's not fair because the real reason is the talent that the Jackets gave up to get him. It was a near impossible situation to come into, and he handled it well. And then he just went out there, sucked up all those minutes and made it really uncomfortable to skate down his wing. He's made Fedor Tyutin look even better as well. I miss Russell, and he will be a talent for a long time. But Nikitin is what this team needed.

Gotta say props to Howie on both of them.

For the Sens, yeah... Consensus is Smith. Damn that kid is steady. Can't wait for the Jackets to trade Brassard for him. :)

FilPOOla. I know we all throw him under the bus because of his contract and lack of offensive production (although he's been picking it up this year) but he is a rock defensively and usually when he scores the goals are timely.

Like ritari said, Alzner is a great one who does his job perfectly and therefore does not get a lot of press.

I think Laich is getting his due now though, and is getting paid for it as well.

I would add in Jason Chimera who skates hard every shift and can hit, score and play defense and does anything the team asks. I may also add Erskine for playing the role of fighter when need be while stay playing steady third pairing D.

I think Gillis is a smart guy and will recognize the need to keep Cody for when the Sedins retire or slow (hehe) down in their age.

The Sedins can slow there own aging process?!? Damn, those are some magical twins.

Laich is a solid player, but from what I've seen Chimera is the guy who nobody seems to notice, yet he's been one of the Caps best players this year.

In terms of league wide under appreciation, Patrik Elias has been the most talented Devil for the past 10 years. He's been better than Parise and Kovalchuk and still is this season. Mogilny was the only Devil forward more talented than him during his time here.

Team wide under appreciation is Zubrus. He's been the prototypical Devil from the day he was interviewed after his signing. He's been put in any spot the Devils had a hole in the lineup and played well without complaining. He's basically a much better Sergei Brylin.
