I'm going with Brad Stuart. Loved him since he got here. He has even gotten better with the puck every year. He's been on a number of teams and I don't recall hearing too many negative things. Just a stand up, solid player. Scored 2 in one game and made a tremendous goal saving swipe recently too, btw....

not a question for me, Salo undisputed

he was excellent last night and has been all year ... such a stable calming influence ... made some excellent pinches, clutch hard passes and weaved around keeping pucks in the habs zone last night

stay healthy and come back for another year Sami

/it would be awesome imo if he just pulled a Selanne every year and thinks about retiring but then keeps coming back to play for peanuts

Hansen and Hodgson.

both may get 20 goals this season with their limited minutes (especially Hodgson)

Sorry, you can't dispute Salo. It's right there in writing.:becky:

You think the coach is a little tight with the leash? I actually feel our coach is the one person that does give Stuart his credit.

lol

if Hansen and Hodgson come out of the lineup they can be replaced, barely but they can be replaced ... if Salo comes out ... look the fuck out

the games Salo has missed this year, the canucks are giving up an average of 4 goals per game

yeah hes right. DAMN YOU JSTEW....... that sort of rhymes.

I think he is very tight with Cody. but I suppose that comes with being younger. Boston did the same with Tyler and its paying in spades. Cody will be a wonderful player in this league. I just want to see more faster and I dont think its his fault. nice to see him pop that goal last night and then get a shootout goal (the winner technically)

Vonta Leech. He's by far the best fullback in the NFL and is a big reason for the Ravens' offensive success this year.

yup you can see it coming ... it looks similar to the Sedins and Keslers development ... its probably gonna take some time and people are going to criticize the pace of development but he gets better every game ... eventually AV will gain more trust in him and put him on the ice in all situations ... i just have this fear they are gonna trade him because they have henrik and kes ahead of him at centre ... would be a huge mistake since he's shown this year he can be flexible and play wing ... i wanna see him get some time on a line with Kes and maybe more with the Sedins

i understand why he got only 10:40 in ice time last night ... they were down 3 zip and Av was going with only 2 lines to get back into it

Im gonna say he finishes top 3 in rookie scoring this year if the back holds up

Craig Adams, great on the PK, blocks a ton of shots. Drops the gloves with anyone, good hitter, decent in the faceoff circle. He leads by example with his style of play.

Patrick Chan.
no wait.

I love the way the Nuck powerplay sets up Salo for the cannon.
right sideboards (usually a Sedin) passes to right pointman, who passes back and then moves down towards the slot. this brings the defender down low with him, while Salo slides into the spot just vacated (or skates a big loop) to step into one.
it's fun to watch when you are looking for it.

I think Gillis is a smart guy and will recognize the need to keep Cody for when the Sedins retire or slow (hehe) down in their age. I sometimes bring up Cody in a trade idea but I dont think Im ever serious I dont want to give up on that type of youth.

The Tyler analogy makes some good sense. I like the way a lot of young guns are panning out fairly early. Seemed like a draught for awhile.
