Bryz for MVP of what team?
Everyone but the Flyers, apparently.

i didnt single out bryz.. i singled out the flyers, because if you have any level of neutral zone defense you will beat them.
Yeah, the loss of Jagr and Pronger seem to have left a pretty big gap. Vorecek (sp?) seems to have been a pleasant surprise for Flyers fans. He seems to be right on par with where Giroux is which could help them rebound pretty quickly offensively this year or next. It's just a waiting game for some of the other guys.
i dont think pronger really matters.. they only had him for like 11 games last year anyway.. apparently losing carle hurts though

To each their own, sir.
I look at awards a bit differently than the media. I don't base it on how many points a player has. I base it on what that player has done for his team in a particular season.
Price is a HUGE reason why the Canadiens are having a great season.
Chara is a man among boys. He simply changes what the other team can do everytime he's on the ice.
Toews is the leader of the best team in the league right now period.
Getzlaf means so much to his team it's mindboggling. When he's on his game nobody wants to play against him. It was a contract year. He's back to his old self.
MacLean has done an unbelievable job in Ottawa. Take away any other teams #1 Center, #1 Defenseman & #1 Goalie & I doubt they're in a playoff spot. He can flat out coach.

You didn't pick any Penguins. I am afraid we are going to have to assign you to the ESPN Basketball boards until you are ready to play the right way.
I'm just going to drop this in here...
No Malkin, Toews, Ovenchicken, Price or Subban (unless I skimmed those parts). Vewy, vewy intewesting.

Mark Fraser ahead of John Tavares. Who knew?
Toews is a great two-way player, which could earn him a Selke nod, but you can't base that decision on his leadership. That might put him closer into a Hart conversation.
Ottawa's coaching is absolutely on the same level as everyone else's picks, so no worries there.
Getzlaf for Hart? I won't be able to agree there at this point in the season because I feel like a similar case can be made for their coaching and netminder. I get that Sidney Crosby is the most common pick and some like to go against the grain but come on. He's on a Gretzky type of scoring pace as well as running a powerplay, bailing out a penalty kill and dominating in the circle. If he's not the most valuable to his team then I don't know who is. Keep in mind that they aren't winning games because of defense or netminding. Look at what he's done with Kunitz and Dupuis!
I completely understand what you're saying about Crosby & he's probably going to win the Hart. I just think what Getzlaf is doing in Anaheim this season deserves mention. He doesn't have centers like Malkin & Sutter behind him. Getzlaf IS the Center for the Ducks.
