The way the niner defense is shaping up reminds me a little of AZ's recently- aggressive, lots of 8-men-in-the-box looks. If the plan is to play witner up a lot, this team NEEDS to put pressure on the QB

I always liked Whitner from what I've seen of him. However, I believe he has bad knees which is never a good thing.

Whitner has been lacking in they "playmaking" area imo. He just racks up tackles. I guess he fits the scheme we are running better. His coverage must be better than Mays too.

One thing's for sure, with the additions of Rogers and Whitner to our starting defensive backfield, we won't be seeing many interceptions. Hopefully we'll have a top punt returner cause we're definitely hoping to be causing quite a few punts.
