I saw an article in the Athletic about one hit wonders. I thought it would be fun to solicit from the forum guys who had the spotlight shine brightly on them once or a short period, but back to obscurity after that.
LOL - that article cited Ron Kittle as a White Sox one hit wonder (I can't say I'd agree, but if Kittle is Richie Zisk ought to qualify).
"The Bird - Fidritch - is a great example in my mind.
Gordon Beckhman - it is hard for me to say he is a one hit wonder, but he started off good enough and got progressively worse as a hitter every day thereafter.
Eddie Gaudel - the shortest player ever - fits the definition - spot light and then nothing. Thank you Mr. Vick.
Jim Spencer and his 8 RBI game against the Indians in 1977 -is a one hit wonder kind of accomplishment.
