Just when you thought it couldn't get worse than NHL officiating, I tuned in to the Big Ten Championship. Mich vs Mich State. Mich was up 3-2.
Mich goalie made a save, whistle blew and his pad got poked and puck went in. They went to video review and only reviewed whether puck crossed line, which it did. Nearly a second after the whistle blew and the clock stopped. Mich coach was not allowed to challenge for whistle even though THE CLOCK STOPPED ON THE WHISTLE. 3-3 game with one second too much left on the clock.
That matters because State scored with .4 on the clock to go up 4-3 at the end of the second.
Been a while since I have seen a team directly fucked that hard.
