I've still only had the Pizzle. It's so good I don't need to try anything else.

I still expect us to run alot of 2 TE sets with Vernon and Denalie, and Gore will be in the backfield, so that leaves 2 or maybe 3 receivers on the field if Denalie sits down.

So no need to carry more than 5 receivers. Some of the receivers can go on the practice squad. Zeigler is the odd man out.

Ted Ginn Jr. survives just because he's our best returner.

I'm over Ginn. He's worthless as a WR IMO and Culliver can return kicks. Edwards, Crab, Morgan, Johnson and Ziegler. I don't see Harbaugh keeping 6 WR's with Walker and Davis heavily involved in the passing game.

I think we keep 6. Edwards, Crabby, Morgan are locks. Depending on camp and the coaching vision, last three are Rolo, Williams and Hogan. If Williams keeps getting dinged, then Ginn takes his spot. Otherwise...Ginn is just horrible. His stone hands will always let you down.

Who will we use as a returner?

We have a few guys that can do it.

Hunter, Culliver, Williams, Adams off the top of my head.

Kyle Williams is always hurt and might not make the cut.
Adams was horrific as a returner last year, he was coughing the ball up all the time.

Hunter and Culliver are TBD but the return game is important so I would want them to beat out Ginn at returner, instead of just settling for a mediocre returner so we can cut Ginn.

Ginn is not that expensive, $1.4M. Other return specialists make more.

Kickoff and Punt Returns are such an underrated part of the game. He is one of the best at them, and if it means we have to leave Williams off the team, then so be it.

I did note that if Williams keeps getting dinged, then he's probably cut. It's not Ginn's price so much as the fact that he brings NOTHING to the passing game. The typical response is that his speed keeps people honest...I didn't really see that last year. What I do see is his repeated drops which I'm sure just leads to QB's not even looking in his direction as time goes on.

I realize that some of my statements smack of hyperbole, but he is frustrating as hell and I'm, just a fan. I can't imagine if he was my teammate and I'm having to count on him only to have him fuck it up time after time.

All depends on how guys look in camp, IMO. Ginn is pretty good at PR, at KR he is below average.

Edwards will be the #1, Crabs #2, after that I look got Ronald Johnson to take Ginn or Morgans spot, the guy is going to be a nice piece to the puzzle

I was thinking about our two tight end sets now with edwards, crabtree, davis, and walker. Its like a tight 4wr set. The options are endless out of that set with our personel. It should be very exciting to watch this year.

I thought Adams actually showed real promise in terms of his instincts with the ball in his hands. But ball security was a serious issue with him, obviously. Still, he's a young guy and I would absolutely keep working on his return skills. There's only one way to get better.

Add that to hopefully a less predictable offense and we should see a huge boost in our scoring potential.:horn::happy::thumb:

Yeah, with Edwards now as a deep threat, I don't think Ginn brings much of anything as a WR. I wouldn't mind dropping him if we can find a solid alternative.

I think Williams will be the odd man out. Ginn has Hands of stone but he is good at returns and he is still a fast deep threat. I can see him beating out Williams and possibly Zeigler.
