Cooper Kupp
Raheem Mostert
James Connor
Michael Gallup
David Johnson
JuJu Smith-Schuster

(Already have Michael Thomas as the other keeper)

Ideally would have liked to go two WRs & 2 RBs, but I want to atleast try & keep one RB if I go 3 WRs.
Mostert I had already penciled in, but with DJ's new place. I will feel foolish if he blows up in Houston.
The Steeler players get their QB back.
Kupp I traded for last year knowing I was gonna keep him, but here I am with all these options. (will Goff rebound)

Pretty Confident Conner & Gallup arent making the cut, but figured I should throw them in as considerations for all you gurus out there.

How long can you keep players for? Juju brings massive risk and huge upside, so does kupp.

When the rams switched things around the second half of the year it was woods and higbee who shine and kupp who was left off the field..... food for thought....I don’t care how great kupp has been. If he’s not on the field.... and there hasn’t been anything to suggest the re rams are going back to their old ways that saw them fall out of playoff contention

that is what concerned me. Traded for him when he was hot.
Late in the year Goff was a cesspool. but heard Kupp is supposed to have a huge year this year.
Defenses adjusted for Kupp & sounds like the rams/McVay are adjusting for those defenses (if rumors are true)
I can literally put a question mark on all of them & all of them could have a huge year.
very frustrating LOL

Iirc tht was NOT it. They changed the personnel groupings, he wasn’t on the field a lot...

the games I watched he was on the field plenty. Just a lot of decoys or horrible passing.

He still did ok, but he was no superstar the 2nd half.

Scary mix you have there. Comes down to individual taste as they all have risk attached to them. First two I'd keep would be......

Kupp Despite the changes made last season he put up 1100 yards and 10 TDs
Gallup Color me surprised a Cowboy fan has him penciled in for a drop. Put up a 1000 yards and 6 TDs and I feel the best is to come. I'm not scared of some rookie cutting into his numbers, feel the reverse will happen.

After those two IDK because I don't like any of them.

Actually Mostert at the end of the year was kicking ass for me. I had actually grabbed him off the waiver wire as a desperation at RB last year. he ended up with close to a 1000 combined yards 10 TDs & never officially started a game.
This year he will be the starter & they got rid of some of the committee that was taking carries away. & the Niners line is no joke.

This year McKinnon is back after being out last season. So still a crowded backfield.

Those are not impressive stats IMO. He's bounced around the league as a marginal talent. 49ers OL is mostly responsible for success of their RBs as they seem able to plug in numerous bodies and get good results. Mostert is 28 so that's about time you usual see some regression it athletic talent start kicking in with RBs and Mostert contract runs out end of the season......

To sum it up Mostert had only one 100 yard game , very little usage in the pass game. Without TDs to prop him up, he's a liability and TDs are hard to count on unless someone is a goal line specialist.

I get what you are saying, but watch him.
He started the season as just a special teams guy. Out played a very heavy Committee. As far as Passing game goes. this is true. but also true of their #1 guys since Jimmy G passes like 6 times a game.
but on any one catch or run he can take it to the house.

Never started a game, lead the team in rushing. Led the team in Rushing TDs & led in (small) Receiving yards for RBs & led in receiving TDs for RBs.
This year he starts the season as the starter. (insteading of waiting til the end of the season to get any real carries)

On the other hand. I see what your saying. If everyone else is thinking like you. Dont pick him up as a keeper but just redraft him.
but he blew up in the playoffs so not to sure he is a secret either.

Gallup for sure.

Then it boils down to Kupp, Mostert and/or DJ for me.
[Mostert] ended up with close to a 1000 combined yards 10 TDs & never officially started a game.
Isn't that a scary statement, tho? I can see Shanny tinkering with the lineup just to keep defenses guessing.
DJ is interesting because in 5 years he's only had 2 seasons where he's had more than 1000 all-purpose yards. Doesn't actually inspire confidence. If there is a bright side, his history shows that even numbered seasons are his best - and it is 2020.

Here's a fun fact: although Mostert has 2 years worth of stats under his belt, he's actually been bouncing around the league since 2015. Bonus: He's just 4 months younger than David Johnson (28).

Late in the year Goff was a cesspool.

Last 5 games (wk 12 - wk 16, so fantasy season, not real season)

upload_2020-8-10_20-36-58.png

- Avg 328.6 passing yards
- Avg 2.2 TDs with 0.8 INTs
- QB 10 over that time frame

let's remove that game against the Cards, since their D was absolutely atrocious last year (even though rams will see them 2x again)

- Avg 304.8 passing yards
- Avg 2.3 TDs with 1.0 INTs
- was still QB 10 overall

Where are my trunks, cause that's a cesspool I want to swim in!

what really sucks about this, is that you prob HAVE to keep at least 1 RB, even though I really want to tell you to just keep Kupp, Juju, and Gallup to go with Mahomes and Thomas. I just can't see a scenario where you have much of anything to draft from at RB with every team keeping 5 players, the ones you throw back will be drafted right after the big rookies.

what the hell, keep all the WRs, then draft RB with 4 of your first 5 picks.

kinda backwards way to go about zero RB strategy

RoJo or Vaughn (pick your poison)
Boston Scott
Lamar Miller/Harris/Michel/White??? (again, pick your poison)

I can see a world where keeping all your WRs and drafting RB heavy would pay out nicely for you

if there was a way to land Taylor and Mack, or Swift and Kerryon - little things like that to lock up a backfield, you could easily put together a nice team

problem is. easier to find a WR later to do ok for you if you need to find one, than a RB. If you dont start with one. it is hard to find one later. (unless you get lucky)
So while the WRs would just stack on top of each other, which is nice for injuries or Bye weeks. (cant use them all in one week) points at the RB position would suffer a lot.

check my last 2 posts, sorry for the shotgun message approach, was just thinking through it and really started to like keeping all those WRs

so you are keeping 3 of the list. Call me crazy, I don’t care about 2 years from now. I would keep Conner, David Johnson and juju.

rb depth in keeper/dynasty leagues are key because it brings premium value for trades later on in the season. And both Conner and and djohnson are your high upside guys. Definitely over mostert.

and if I had to choose a wr from your group it would be juju. With a close second for kupp. But I think juju is your best chance to get value back.
