Cleveland, SF, Seattle in that order. Seattle may or may not get the top player they targeted? They'll never tell but I bet they get their # 2 and the extra picks.
I love his potential. Already a great run and pass blocker so improves that area of the team day 1. His receiving skills yeah were never fully utilized by Alabama. Some of it was they didn't need to with always playing with such a huge lead and well great RB's to hand the ball off to. Some of it though was I just don't think the coaching staff fully knew how to use his to his fully potential. Have to see though if that develops but he was one of the few players I was willing for the Broncos to pass on Bolles to get if he was there.
It's called PANIC. Once the dominoes start to fall all the GMs get nervous and make the jump.
What if I told you that I thought Peppers and Njoku were borderline round 1 guys at best?
I still think they are the NFL SixersBrowns played their hand well.
Yeah, by getting Mahomes now they save 17M on the cap if they trade or release Smith next year. Makes a lot of sense if that's their QB1 which was being reported for a while now.The Texans move was definitely panic. The bears too maybe. The chiefs move seemed calculated and they don't need Mahomes to produce year one.
Leaving the Bucs out of it
Teams that did well
San Fransisco
New Orleans
Indianapolis
Miami
Teams that did not do well
Chicago
Carolina
Kansas City
Houston
Dallas
Atlanta
Both have round 1 talent and they got them right at the end of the round, where they were projected to go.
Of the QBs left, maybe Kizer has the best upside but NONE of the QBs this draft were day 1 starter ready. Browns played their hand well.
I might be Biased, well I am, but a bruin and a guy who acted like he won the Super Bowl for getting drafted is not a good sign (and please dont even start, Hundreds of Players have been drafted after a Dying Wish by a Loved One). Injuries are another thing...Atlanta did well for having the 31st pick. I think McKinley plays early and plays well.
I'm going with S.F. based on their magic in securing a 1st rd pick while giving up nothing and even gaining more picks by fleecing Da Bears. Also they picked maybe the best DE and LB in the draft, just an amazing night for them.
Next I think The Browns added 3 potential difference makers, but their long history of fucking up wet dreams does make me skittish in praising them. They are the George Castanza of The NFL, they might be better off doing the opposite of what they think is best.
The Niners and Browns had the best first round by far.I'm going with S.F. based on their magic in securing a 1st rd pick while giving up nothing and even gaining more picks by fleecing Da Bears. Also they picked maybe the best DE and LB in the draft, just an amazing night for them.

I liked what SF & Cleveland did
thought the GMen's pick was solid....and if healthy, Washington got a steal
Teams like Green Bay and New England take it in stride which is probably why they are the two most successful franchises of the past 15 years. It's called PANIC. Once the dominoes start to fall all the GMs get nervous and make the jump.
The Bears gave away the ranch for a questionable selection. This is a good reason why that franchise has become a bottom feeder.
