I'm going with S.F. based on their magic in securing a 1st rd pick while giving up nothing and even gaining more picks by fleecing Da Bears. Also they picked maybe the best DE and LB in the draft, just an amazing night for them.
Next I think The Browns added 3 potential difference makers, but their long history of fucking up wet dreams does make me skittish in praising them. They are the George Castanza of The NFL, they might be better off doing the opposite of what they think is best.

I liked what SF & Cleveland did
thought the GMen's pick was solid....and if healthy, Washington got a steal

Agreed. SF fleeced the Bears and landed 2 really good players.

The Browns once again grabbed a pick from Houston and landed 3 impact players.

Washington had to be partying when Allen fell to them.

Allen was the steal of the draft at #17. The shoulders are fine it wasn't an issue. As for Foster his shoulder is a bigger issue and there was a report that he needs rotator cuff surgery.

All the offensive players in the top 10 were over drafted in my opinion so defensive studs fell to the mid first.

SF - Thomas was an easy pick and they acquired more picks by trading down. Foster has some injury concerns but it was a no brainer. Foster if he gets/stays healthy is a Pat Willis replacement, easily.

Cleveland - WHAT!? CLEVELAND!? Yep... they weren't stupid by reaching on a QB that wont do jack shit anyway. They took by FAR the best player in the draft and snagged a bit of a project S/TE. I don't have a huge issue with that since the Browns will not compete this year anyway...

Seattle - Yep (turns the homer siren off)... they are likely going to get the player they targeted anyway, and acquired ANOTHER 3rd round pick with the Atlanta trade and a 4th round pick they didn't have with the San Fran one... and some 7th round ammo which probably wont matter since those players will probably not make the roster. Still, Seattle has 6 picks on day 2, one being quite early... Smart teams trade down, Seattle pulled it off twice, and now has a TON of ammo to fill shaky depth.

Washington - Jon Allen THAT late? I get the guy has a shoulder issue but this was a flat out steal. Washington was a bottom 5 defense last year, so they had to address the position and it all starts with the D-Line. If Trent can get off the juice, I'm sure he'll love the up front distraction once his suspension is over.

Indianapolis - WHAT!? INDIANAPOLIS!? Yep. Malik Hooker is a top 3-5 talent and has drawn comparisons to Ed Reed. It was a no brainer in a division that is working to acquire offensive weapons (Fournette, Davis, Fuller, etc.). I had to do a double take when I heard Hooker was taken at #15. I thought Goodell was using an old card and I had a mild case of dementia.

I thought New Orleans getting Lattimore was a good pick at 11 but not sure about their last pick.

Agreed entirely. I didn't understand the Ramczyk pick at all. He has some hip issues (not going to get better for a lineman), has quit on football once... and the Saints need to try and win now with Brees on the cusp of his career. I loved the Lattimore pick, think I gave the Ramczyk pick a C- or D+.

#1: If any of the teams actually hit on QB

I liked at least a dozen of the picks. I'll wait to see the full draft before declaring a winner because the value is too close imo.

The loser to me is Cleveland. Peppers and Njoku are more athletes than NFL players imo. No rd1 QB again. Kessler is going to make that team live at 5-11 or 6-10. Unless they botch this draft which looks entirely possible.

I do agree entirely with this as I said above. But acquiring another 1st round pick next year and sacrificing some late 1sts for HOPEFULLY something that you can mold into a viable option is decent enough for me. Cleveland was basically already going on the 'winners' list if they took Garrett #1 and didn't trade the farm for a mediocre QB.

Garrett at 1...all 32 teams would've done it. Good positional value.

Not sure Njoku or Peppers have any positional value at all unless Peppers is rushing the passer and Njoku replaces Barnidge which is something the Browns really shouldnt be thinking about atm.

Doesn't make sense to me. All the QBs were borderline round 1 guys at best and they would have had to reach in order to draft a project QB.

What if I told you that I thought Peppers and Njoku were borderline round 1 guys at best?

To me the steal of the draft was OJ Howard at 19 to the Bucs. I had him as a top-5 player in the entire draft so to get him where they did plus he fills a big need of that ability to attack the middle of the field and be a great blocker.

As for Cleveland...I liked the trades they made just not the players they drafted. Not a fan of Peppers at all and Njoku I like but he is a project. Which I guess isn't a big deal as they are not expected to compete this next season.

I think that could certainly be the best pick of rd1. I figured Howard might go later because Alabama didnt find him enough in conventional passing routes but he really was the central cog in the Alabama offense and could end up being one of the best players in the draft.

I love his potential. Already a great run and pass blocker so improves that area of the team day 1. His receiving skills yeah were never fully utilized by Alabama. Some of it was they didn't need to with always playing with such a huge lead and well great RB's to hand the ball off to. Some of it though was I just don't think the coaching staff fully knew how to use his to his fully potential. Have to see though if that develops but he was one of the few players I was willing for the Broncos to pass on Bolles to get if he was there.

While I like what happened initially with SF, ultimately I will have see what these picks look like in a couple of years.

As far as the Browns are concerned, they are either the smartest kids in the room or the dumbest kids in the room. They have a strategy that they are sticking with and its either going to really pay off or they'll be the NFL version of the Sixers where they are just always drafting projects and never fielding a team.

It's called PANIC. Once the dominoes start to fall all the GMs get nervous and make the jump.
