Then the 2018-19 Toronto Raptors need to shut the hell up.

They got their title, but let's not pretend they were going to win the title if the Warriors didn't lose basically everyone to injury.

Damn right! And actually the last 6 Finals should all have an **asterisk**.

2015- Warriors beat a Cavs team missing Kyrie & Love
2016- Dray got himself suspended + the Warriors had some injury issues
2017- had the advantage of playing a JV team in the Finals
2018- see 2017
2019- the injury bug bitch-slapped the Warriors
2020- cause Pat Riley sayz so dammit!!! I mean Bam & Goran injured

Maybe, Houston has a plan if Oladipo doesn't pan out with the Rockets?

But all I am saying is that in terms of trade value, LeVert has a lot more than Oladipo right now.

So they messed up. Because they should have gotten a pretty decent second asset along with Dipo to make up the difference.

The return on both LeVert and Allen was very underwhelming. The return for Harden was outstanding. But the subsequent trades lost a decent chunk of the Rockets’ equity.

2 people said the Cavs.....LOL.
A ton of ways to look at it

Nets got a star which is the most valuable in this league BUT lose all their depth. This is all about championships though so if they dont win, it is a fail but at least they tried

Pacers get a young player for an expiring player that was set on walking this offseason

Cavs got a young player and another role player for a late 1st, virtually giving up nothing

The Rockets lost a star and gained unknown future value. Then decided to include 2 teams instead of taking back two nice young players. Got a nice player on an expiring contract

A lot of ways to look at this from the perspective of each team for NOW and FUTURE. It’s not clear cut who won or lost this trade as of right now.

They still won the trade so meh.

They have a ton of assets they can flip for a star in the future or just draft well all while fielding a solid team this season that get anywhere from the 6-8 seed.

Pleeeeeeeease, Shane.

If it were the Cavs that flipped this deal? You, Wiggy and the other Cavs fans would be jacking off to this trade haul.

Stop it.
From Houston’s standpoint?

I dont think you understand. I never said it was bad but future picks only have much value you right now if you flip them. They could flip them for a star in the future but that’s exactly it...an unknown. They laid an egg getting Dipo instead of Levert and Allen though.

As of right now the Nets and Pacers did the most.
Houston is the only team right now worse than they were before the trade.

But then again. That’s probably part of it that Houston gets worse as a team. Maybe it’s not about the nets picks they got. But there own. If they can be a bottom 10 team then they get at least one good pick now. Which they would not have gotten with harden, since harden is too good to lose that many games.

Eh maybe just two...if they win in 2016 do they still bring in KD?

that’s a good point. You’re right.

he probably ends up in Boston

If Brooklyn winds up being any championship contender and Harden and KD resign, Houston will be a huge loser in this. The picks will all be worth little and they squandered LeVert and Allen.

That is exactly why this move was such a head scratcher through.

Bringing in Oladipo for LeVert is an anti tanking move. It is a play for the 8seed move.

3 years from now Jarret Allen will be the best player in this trade.

they have no incentive to tank dude.

you will know why if you think about it a little. becomes less of a "head scratcher"

tell me if you need help. these hints should get you there though.

I know they aren’t tanking. LeVert for Oladipo is a bad trade in any possible scenario. That is the point.

Damn @WiggyRuss butt hurt over something.

I am not the one who said the Rockets were trying to tank.

Because obviously OKC has their picks.

And yeah, it is a total head scratcher why they would trade LeVert for Oladipo.

You have yet to say anything counter to my point. LeVert clearly has more value because of his contract status.

they can’t take with the pick swaps to okc anyway.
