Missouri - Big 12 to SEC
TCU - MWC to Big 12
Temple - MAC to Big East
Texas A&M - Big 12 to SEC
West Virginia - Big East to Big 12

* Temple will join Big East only in football in 2012. All sports in 2013.

The BE and SEC are secretly having talks about how to distribute the ACC, just sayin'.

Back to the OP, I think they'll all have bad years, but I see West Virginia fairing moderately well.

I went with TCU. They have played the Big 12 teams more than WVU has and have done good against them. Even if WVU beats TCU, I still think TCU will finish better.

I do think Missouri and Texas A&M will be at the level that Mississippi State has been.

I am actually playing as Temple on NCAA 13. The game has them being fairly good in their conference. I think they have them finishing 4th in the Big East. But I think they'll be another Rutgers at best. If they do have a really good season, I think they'll be 5-7 wins early on, then fall apart.

I'm really high on both TCU and West Virginia this year. I have TCU at #10 and WV at #11 in my preseason poll. If TCU can cure their secondary woes or West Virginia can tackle better, I think either can be a legitimate title threat.

TCU, they have a really good offense

yet their a team that under Gary Patterson is known for their defense, I can't see the defense not being among the best 2 years in a row.

I think WVU's 'Air Raid' offense is tailor-made for the bad pass defenses in the Big 12.

I voted for West Virginia, but the more I think about it, it will probably be TCU. I think the traveling will hurt West Virginia in the long run.

I actually picked Temple, and may be the sole person to do so. They are coming off a 9-4 season and return the starting QB and RB (technically the RB split time; had 914 yards and 6 TDs. The other RB had 1518 yards and 27 TDs last season) in addition to having Montel Harris as a RB. Offensively, they did a great job protecting the ball as they only had 12 turnovers all last season (good for 1st in the MAC and 3rd in the nation). On defensive, they were able to hold opponents to 13.9 points a game and 123.9/187.8 yards on the ground/air respectively.

Given the turmoil of the BE, I think they have a shot to finish in the top 3 of the conference. I don't see any of the other teams on this list that have as big of an opportunity to make an impact.

Yeah, so why are they on THIS list. They should be on the other.

LMAO!!!

The Big East has owned the ACC.

Top 10 Finishes since 2004 (using AP)
Big East
2004 - #6 Louisville
2005 - #5 West Virginia
2006 - #6 Louisville, #10 West Virginia
2007 - #6 West Virginia
2008 - None
2009 - #8 Cincinnati
2010 - None
2011 - None

ACC
2004 - #10 VT
2005 - #7 VT
2006 - None
2007 - #9 VT
2008 - None
2009 - #9 VT
2010 - None
2011 - None

Schools with Top 10 Finishes
Big East = 3
ACC = 1

Record in BCS Bowls since 2004
Big East
Sugar Bowl = 1-1
Rose Bowl = 0-0
Fiesta Bowl = 1-2
Orange Bowl = 2-1
Total = 4-4

ACC
Sugar Bowl = 0-2
Rose Bowl = 0-0
Fiesta Bowl = 0-0
Orange Bowl = 1-6
Total = 1-8

Big East is 2-1 vs the ACC in BCS Bowls.

The ACC has had ONE SCHOOL ranked ONE TIME in the Top 8 schools of a year since the ACC was formed as we see it today.

If it was not for the Big East the ACC would not have had a Top 10 team since 2000.

true but West Virginia could hardly handle business in the much weaker Big East, they're going to struggle against much harder competition.

I went with West Virginia. I agree with what another poster said earlier that I think their offense will transition greatly into the Big 12.
