Wisconsin and Oklahoma RB's should just be favorites by default.

Eh. We’ve got two really good running backs but neither is special per se. Good chance both end up with over 1000 yards likely one 1500 or so but neither will challenge for leading rusher imo.

While JK Dobbins has the talent, he’s going to lose a lot of carries to our QB Justin Fields and other talented HB’s we have in committee.

The last time we had a mobile QB, he hit 1400+ yards while splitting time with Mike Weber. Maybe Fields' running threat will make him more effective a la JT.

Taylor will as long as healthy. I love Etienne but Clemson has a passing game and blows teams out.

Wow didn't realize he hit 1400? I do remember Weber played injured two years ago so didn't see as many carries but that's still impressive. I'll take another 1400 right now.

He ceded 266 carries to Barrett and Weber and still wound up at 1403 yards, so he obviously has the talent. My guess is we see guys like Master Teague and Demario McCall (fingers crossed) get some carries as well, but I think Dobbins should log 250 carries. If he does, I bet he finishes at least top 5-10 nationally in rushing yards.

Yes McCall is way under utilized but we’ve had so much depth. He’s very athletic and good catching the ball out of the backfield. Have been also waiting to see what Teague can do, he should see a decent workload too. I think offensively we’re going to look a lot like we did with Barrett, a very solid run game mixed with good intermediate pass game. Fields just doesn’t strike me as a deep threat throwing the ball. We still have great WR’s so I’m hoping we can exploit them and keep things balanced. We got so one dimensional with Barrett by seasons end it seemed.

Returning RBs who average 100 yards for every team game last 2 seasons.

(Not going to look up any that had 550 yards in the 5 games he played)

2018
- year of player is as they were in 2018

Jonathan Taylor (Wisconsin, So) - 168.8
Eno Benjamin (Arizona State, So) - 126.3
JJ Taylor (Arizona, So) - 119.5
Jermar Jefferson (Oregon State, Fr) - 115.0
Joshua Kelley (UCLA, Jr) - 103.6
Benny Lemay (Charlotte, Jr) - 102.3

2017

Jonathan Taylor (Wisconsin, Fr) - 141.2
AJ Dillon (Boston College, Fr) - 122.2
Khalil Tate (QB, Arizona, So) - 108.5
Spencer Brown (UAB, Fr) - 102.2
JK Dobbins (Ohio State, Fr) - 100.2

If I'm not mistaken, Jonathan Taylor and Spencer Brown were the only 2 returning RBs who had 2 seasons with 1,200 yards rushing. Khalil Tate did not run near as much this past season than he did in 2017.
