T4) Salvon Ahmed | Jr. | Washington

SportsLine odds: 8/1

One of the most athletic tailbacks in the country, Ahmed has spent the last two seasons backing up Myles Gaskin, the program’s all-time leading rusher. But now he’s set to transition into the starting role and he’s poised for a big season. After rushing for 996 yards and 10 touchdowns on 165 carries over his first two seasons, he should see a significantly larger workload in 2019, but it remains to be seen whether it will be large enough to have a serious shot at leading the nation in rushing. A former four-star recruit out of Juanita High School in Kirkland, Wash., Ahmed was ranked as the No. 2 athlete in the 2017 class according to the 247Sports Composite.

Ahmed will be held under 80 yards vs Oregon, keeping him out of contention

Good thing he plays so few P5 schools. Gives him a chance.

he's lucky that Washington doesn't have the balls to schedule better teams.

Washington's schedule definitely fails the testicle check this season. Pathetic.

If Wisconsin wasn't replacing 4 linemen this would be a slam dunk. I'm going with Ahmed or Benjamin they should massacre their shit league schedule.

They have been light in the testicular fortitude in scheduling for most of the Petersen’s tenure.
I'm beginning to think that may be the best route to the CFP. PLay shit in OOC, run the table in your conference and dare the committee to keep out an undefeated P5 champion. Until they do that, why not take the easy route?

I'd prefer the committee put in a 2-3 loss team that really challenged themselves in and out of conference. But, they won't do that until there are several top teams that have more than one loss.

It will be someone to come from out of the blue.... by the name of Dedrick Mills.

You've been made aware.

I like Jonathan Taylor's chances. Najee Harris apparently is overrated. Looks great one week and lousy the next. Etienne definitely is in the picture.

Plenty of faith in Harris, and our SEC schedule, but we're a lot better than Washington or Arizona State, so if Harris gets 15 touches a game I will be surprised. We don't need a bell cow, because we have thoroughbreds.

Wisconsin and Oklahoma RB's should just be favorites by default.
