...for merely playing in the NFL?

CTE is bad enough...but this is getting ridiculous.

(And they have the chutzpah to protest "law enforcement" over a few idiot cases...)

VISTA, Calif. -- Kellen Winslow II, the retired NFL tight end already facing multiple r*pe and kidnapping charges, was arraigned Thursday on a new charge -- forcibly raping a 17-year-old female who was unconscious at the time.

Winslow, now 34, was 19 at the time of the alleged r*pe that took place in June 2003 in a San Diego County residence, according to Dan Owens, deputy district attorney in San Diego County.

"California law allows for certain specified sexual offenses to be charged regardless of the time of their commission under certain circumstances," Owens said. "Those circumstances are met in this case. ...

"When there is a r*pe that occurs and the victim is under the age of 18 years old, there is no statutory time (limit) to when that can be charged. That's exactly what we have here."

Owens declined to provide information when asked if publicity around the previous charges led the alleged victim, now 32, to come forward.

The other felony counts include two counts of r*pe, two counts of kidnapping with intent to commit r*pe and one count of forcible sodomy. Winslow pleaded not guilty to all charges Thursday at a preliminary hearing in San Diego County Courthouse.

The other two alleged victims are 58 and 54, and one said she was homeless at the time. USA TODAY does not release the identities of alleged victims.

Superior Court Judge Harry M. Elias reduced two criminal counts of attempted burglary to misdemeanors, but Winslow could face life in prison on the remaining eight counts. Elias found enough evidence to move forward on those counts.

Bail was set at $2 million. Winslow's attorneys said he would post bail and be released Thursday or Friday.

The next court hearing is set for Aug. 17.

Winslow's mother, Katrina Ramsey, wept outside the courtroom and his father, Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow Sr., looked upbeat as he spoke to friends and family members.

Winslow II remained impassive during the court proceeding and has been held in custody since his June 14 arrest.

During final deliberations, Winslow II's lead attorney, Harvey Steinberg, said he expected the case to go to trial and "this is going to be hotly contested."

Former NFL Player Brandon Browner Arrested Near Azusa

Former NFL player Brandon Browner was arrested Sunday afternoon near Azusa, California, after being wanted for a long list of charges, including kidnapping, burglary, false imprisonment and violation of a restraining order in relation to an incident that took place earlier in the morning.

According to the La Verne Police Department, officers responded to a call at 10:07 a.m. on Sunday morning related to a man who broke into a home through a locked window. Browner was identified as the intruder and allegedly physically forced the victim back into her residence when she attempted to flee.

The former NFL pro allegedly physically harmed and made threats to kill the victim inside the residence, per the La Verne PD. Browner allegedly fled the scene before police arrived but took a Rolex watch valued at $20,000 from the victim before leaving the home.

In addition, Browner had a previous relationship with the victim and had previously been arrested for domestic violence and was restrained from the victim, according to police.

Probably a California city since they no longer observe Federal laws...

Just register them like pot stores, liquor stores, sex offenders because it's not a question of "what" anymore, just "when".

My understanding is that if you are convicted of a sex crime of any type you are required to register. Am I wrong in this thinking.

why are you replying to a 5 yr old thread?
"Redskins" in the account name and 74 posts in just over a day??? That says a lot about a 'new' account. Besides, Winslow II must be getting really worried about a potential NFL fine. :yahoo:

Probably a bot. He's been bumping old threads for a day now.
More likely it's the same troll who was catfishing here 2 weeks ago. My money would be on the the IP addresses of posts from both accounts belonging to the same VPN provider.
