That's a good comparison. A couple of great college players who wound up bouncing around the league, both because they couldn't keep up their productivity and because they were awful people.

Both ended up in jail and like someone else said, I imagine Winslow doesn't finish this sentence, because he will take the Phillips way out and end it all while in prison.

In 2019 Winslow Jr. pled guilty to 1 count with an agreement to a 12-18 year sentence with no opportunity to appeal against the outcome of the 2nd trial. The 14 year sentence is partly because of the possibility of brain damage.

My daughter's HS boyfriend was on the football team. After graduation, he admitted how much clearer his thought processes became after he stopped playing football. Fortunately, football ended for him after high school.

So, you can recover, but at the same time, exposure even in high school can be noticeable and even dangerous.

If I had a son, I would not let him play competitive football.
