"Illegal Substances" can't be all lumped together- weed aint meth, coke isn't crack (well, sorta...)

If they're on the clock, definitely not. If they're on their free time and want to puff a joint, who are we to say otherwise?

The problem I have with it is the lack of a sobriety test. If you fuck shit up because you're high all you can verify is that you have smoked sometime. So I'm for a no drug policy for those operating vehicles or guns as a main part of their job.

But what does it matter? Cops enforce speeding tickets but speed non-stop on the roads with their lights "OFF".

It's ok for them to get high on some smoke or drink some booze when they are off the clock. The alcoholic rate in the corrections system in the USA are unbelievably high but if that's what they prefer,so be it. Everyone would be high on smoke if I had my way.
