Really, it's the only way to get George or Lebron to Houston. Clearing cap space isn't going to work, but a trade could.

Yeah, I just don't know how they can dump anderson.

They're stuck with that contract until at least next summer when it becomes expiring.

if they can get Gordon for one year of PG13, they basically have to get the Cavs to take back Anderson in a similar optin for Bron.

But evne if you don't get bron.

CP3
Harden
PG13
PJ Tucker
Capella
Ariza (can resign him if you're not getting Bron)

is a heck of a start to dethroning GS.

They lost all appeal as soon as they traded Irving.

Lebron can't win on his own.

Nobody can.

But, that market makes it far worse.

I'm not shitting on Ohio.

But, how many people you know consider that a hotspot?

We are talking about young, rich Dudes.

Nah....

Anderson can be stretched.

i don't think that would open up the cap space anyway. If Paul wants the max and won't help Bron come here, then they have to give up capella to make that happen.

IT used to be just about the money but if this is true, this latest criteria for LeBron's decision of where he plays next is about the chances for another ring which screams Houston on the surface. But as has been discussed, there are other logistical problems that prohibit James going to Houston. One of the many factors is that he doesn't own a home there. But anyways...

Westbrook just bought a 20 million dollar home in LA.

But, he signed long-term in OKC.

Real Estate isn't a obstacle for guys making 30 mil per on the court and 50 mil off of it.

I think the salary cap gymnastics and what would be left on the roster are his biggest concerns anywhere he signs.

.......and a NTC.

I'm guessing he will demand that too.

No.

They'd have to trade Tucker, Gordon let Ariza walk/ sign trade and Stretch Anderson.

Still would be tough.

I think they would have a much easier time getting George than LeBron because OKC might actually be interested in a few of those guys.

If they wanted Ariza and Gordon, Tucker..sign and trade salaries would match if Ariza agreed to a deal around 10-14 per.

They don't HAVE to, but the Cavs would be smart to demand Capela as part of the trade (and Lebron could very well back out of the trade then).

Some random Twitter guy asked Larry Coon this:

"Larry, what do you think about the pick + Deng for a player on a bad deal, but one who we could stretch and create enough space for 2 max + Randle? (Like Asik on the Bulls). Is that doable?"

Coon said whatever works.

That's why I don't think we need a center. Bryant and Zublacka could each get 18-20 minutes with Lopez gone.....and then we go small ball for 8-12mpg.

looking at Zubac last season was like Chinese water torture. me, i'd draft a center that maybe had some athleticism and upside...

if nothing else, it'd push the guys ahead of him...

He was inconsistent because his PT was inconsistent. Hard to get in a rhythm without consistent time on the court. I think he can be a solid player with some experience.

I dunno. he's never been a consistent shooter, goes bonehead mode when rebounding sometimes, and doesn't run the floor well...

he'll occasionally get you a blocked shot or 2, but really that's about it as far as i can tell...

I doubt playing time's gonna fix all that...

Agree to a point.

With more consistent playing time and development, I think he has a future as a solid backup big. I see him as a "Brooke Lopez lite" type of player.

A big body that can bang a little, has some offense, but ultimately is too slow and unathletic to be a major contributor off the bench or even an average starter.

Really, about the only thing still keeping Lopez as a starting quality center is that he has learned to shoot the 3 (although he falls in love with it too much at times) and he's smart.

I think Zubac can be that type of player, but not a starter.

3.7ppg and 2.9rpg in just 9mpg.

In more mpg during his rookie season he averaged 7.5ppg, 4.2rpg, and 1bppg in 16mpg. He made 53% of his FGA's.
