Boston doesn't need him, they have some nice young centers they can develop.

^ I was referring to the Garnett/Pierce trade that gave Boston so many future Nets draft picks.

I have to believe Clippers will make a move to keep up with Houston, Mavs Suns and OKC. The west is stacked for the next 5 years as it is. They need to compete. Lopez looks like the best asset their

When will it start? It already started. They announced basically everyone was on the trading block like a month ago. They just haven't gotten an offer they like yet

Oh they've probably had offers, just none they felt were worth it for them. There's no telling how much they're asking for certain players

Might as well just ride it out at this point until their albatross salaries expire.

I don't know who would be dumb enough to pay those guys that kind of $, well except for the Brooklyn Nets of course.

This off-season probably, they're still in a playoff spot so no need to trade anyone before the trade deadline.

Billy King destroyed the 76ers; I've seen this before. The Nets don't have any unprotected first-round picks left in this decade!

Deron Williams was basically your consolation prize when Melo chose the KNICKS. But then you get Joe Johnson which made sense talent-wise, but is he worth having the most guaranteed money at $48M? Brook Lopez is a top 10, arguably top 5 center when healthy and that's the next question mark.

Now you get Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, just past their prime, certainly valuable with their experience, clutch shooting, veteran savvy, blah blah, but they gotta be 2009 Celtics and carry the load because your guys are either wildly inconsistent or injured.

Can't even fill a decent bench because you locked up so much money on two guys. Jason Terry old. You bring Kirelenko in at what everybody thought was A STEAL, but he was either hurt or rarely used. KG and Pierce gotta motivate them when they shouldn't be. Plus you bring in a rookie coach for a veteran squad with immediate championship expectations.

Nets need to just look forward to 2016 or hope Billy King gets replaced by then. No way Deron Williams opts out and leaves the last, biggest check he'll ever get, so either buyout or keep him and rebuild - even if it means him coming off the bench like Stoudemire.

Durant is a long shot but 2016 will have a pool of great players to round out a team with: Al Horford, Wilson Chandler, Nicolas Batum, etc.
