If the season ended as follows:

Alabama: 12-1 (SEC Champ)
LSU: 11-1
Stanford: 13-0
Wisconsin: 13-0
Clemson: 13-0
Oklahoma: 11-1 (B12 Champ)
Boise State: 12-0

Probably Wisconsin vs Stanford, Clemson started too far back IMO. Only exception would be if GT is unbeaten when they play Clemson and Clemson lays the smack down on them and if USCe wins out and Clemson pummels them too. Cant see a 1 loss SEC team getting in ahead of an unbeaten AQ conference team and a 1 loss OU would have even less of a shot.

LSU: 11-1
Stanford: 13-0
Wisconsin: 13-0
Clemson: 13-0
Oklahoma: 11-1 (B12 Champ)
Boise State: 12-0

NCG would be Alabama vs. Wisconsin.

Pecking order:

Alabama
Wisconsin
Stanford
Oklahoma
Clemson
Boise State

LSU is out because they won't put two teams from a conference in the NCG.

I think a one loss SEC team plays in the NCG until they lose one.

I think you'd see some major uproar if a 1 loss SEC team got in over an unbeaten AQ team like Stanford, Wisconsin, Clemson, Oklahoma State etc. I wouldnt really have an issue with it but I think alot of people would.

Any other one-loss team getting in over an AQ conference* undefeated, yes there would be an uproar. I think the fact that the SEC has won the last 5, and because an SEC champion would have a big time win on the last weekend, would make people accept it.

* Excludes Big East.

Stanford and Wisconsin would likely fall behind Clemson in the computers in this scenario based on SOS, but it would depend where the voters put the teams.

I think an undefeated Stanford, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State would most definitely get in over a one loss SEC team.

The next tier that would PROBABLY get in over a one loss SEC team includes Clemson and Boise State.

The NEXT tier where it would be debatable are Georgia Tech, Michigan, Illinois, Kansas State. I put this group at 50/50 if they go undefeated of making the NCG over a one loss SEC team.

Remember, if this last tier goes undefeated, they will have beaten a top five team to get there. That's where things get REAL sticky!

LSU to Bama.

Bama to ??? (for the sake of this being a discussion, both need to have a loss)

As for my answer, I think it would have to be Bama vs. Wisconsin. The SEC gets in until they lose, and Stanford/Clemson/Wisconsin/Boise don't exactly have a hard schedule this year, so I could see any of them getting bumped by a 1 loss Bama or LSU.

I'm stunned there is even debate over this. It would definitely be Wisconsin v. Stanford. No poll is going to rank a one-loss SEC team above an undefeated Wisconsin, Stanford, Boise, or Clemson. There's seriously no grounds for it whatsoever. That pretty much eliminates the SEC right there. I guess Clemson could make it if they are very impressive, but it's hard to see them jumping Boise when their most impressive win barely beats Miami, and their signature home win is losing to Wake by the exact same score they lost to them.

I'd be stunned if the polls wouldn't be:
1/2: Stanford and Wisconsin in some order
3: Boise
4: Clemson
5/6/7: SEC and Oklahoma

In this scenario, the computers aren't going to let any past the top two.

Maybe not Wiscy and Clemson, but a 1 loss SEC champion would jump Boise & Stanford before you could blink an eye.
