Also applies if you change this to Le'Veon Bell, RB and, well, any RB who signed a big-time deal elsewhere.Too much. Someone will bankrupt their team to get a great talent who has attitude issues and is clearly in it for the payday. Albert Haynesworth 2.0 all over again.
Don't get me wrong (looking at you Rams fans), Donald is an INCREDIBLE player, but this is the last year teams will ever get out of him.
I would honestly give Seattle an F grade if Seattle signed and made him the highest paid DT.
Donald has undoubtedly earned a pay out after racking up 11 sacks, five forced fumbles and a league-leading 91 pressures en route to Defensive Player of the Year honors last season.................PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY.

I actually remember the Rams pass rush before Donald got there. I believe the Rams had a historic sack drought.Too much. Someone will bankrupt their team to get a great talent who has attitude issues and is clearly in it for the payday. Albert Haynesworth 2.0 all over again.

Donald looks like the first guy in and the last guy out every day. He has the respect of every player in the league. He'll be good as long as he stays healthy for at least 4-5 more years.
Im honestly not sure what the Rams should do. They lose so much at the end of the season that they are going to halfway rebuild. Signing Donald and relying on the draft seems like the obvious thing to do but maybe they have something else in mind.
Donald is worth 20M in 2018 dollars- Easily. It's a tough position for sure. Donald is going to command $20M+ but the Rams have Goff and Gurley down the road and just signed a $16M per contract in Cooks. Will be interesting to see what they'll do.
Is Donald worth $20M per? Mmm, that's a good question, but given the position (DT) I'm not so sure. These guys usually have a tendency to wear faster and I'm not sure any position is worth $20M+ outside of QB. I dunno, it'll be interesting to see what the Rams do and if they do sign Donald, how much guaranteed.
