everybody can exhale, no infections for Gronk

:yahoo:

As I said last week...."I'll always look back fondly on the Gronk Era. Good times."

This guy is too big of a moron to take care of himself and I wonder if he'll ever be serviceable again. Too bad, too, because he was absurd for a couple years....

like his own TE TD record you mean right?

So long as someone else gets them inside the 6. :laugh3:

That was too easy, Zig.

Hey, good luck to the Sox tonight, for real. I have 9-hundy V-Cash on them bastards!

I love how Sox fans act like the whole Down Dissapearing act is all a figment of Yankees fans imagination

Doesnt take a mensa candidate, I said on Page One he would be here today

You also said that Cashman was a genius for signing Youk and Overbay.

Seriously, Paydirt, don't drink the NY Kool-Aid on Cashman. He has sucked in the draft and his FA record is spotty at best. Fortunately, he had Jeter, Posada, Pettitte and Rivera for his tenure and it's allowed him to look really good. Surely you see this?

Congratulations, Chap, you are the FIRST Red Sox fan in this place to give Jeter credit for anything other than infecting A-Rod with herpes.

NOW I will be back at 8

Thank you for taking time out to blog here, whist simultaneously broadcasting the game for ESPN.

So, he's great at adding the fringe players...50/50 with the big contract guys...and probably close to average in the draft...which is really above average when you consider they haven't had anything resembling a high first round pick in his entire career

I'd say that makes him a great gm

I've stated in the past that I actually became a fan of Jeter over the years. I remember hating him in the Nomar v. Jeter days, but the way Jeter just owns that town impresses me. The media eats out of his hand. Nobody (seemingly) has ANY dirt on the guy (even all the ex-firlfriends). In that city...with that kind of scrutiny...I'm amazed at what he's been able to do!

The draft means less to the Yankees than any other team in baseball. Any prospect who makes the team has to instantly play at an All-Star level if he wants to hang around.

A consequence of being in permanent "win now" mode.

I don't know how you look at your statement above and conclude "great". I do think he's very good at the fringe guys, yes. But the rest of his resume is really kind of suspect. He shouldn't need high first round picks to get some MLB talent from the draft, should he?
