Okay...now subtract becket ($16m), Gonzalez ($21m) and Crawford ($20m) and Youk (13m) and they traded away $70m of that...add injuries? etc..?

On some levels I do agree .. truly I do

But its also really hard to do what he's done. You're constantly saddled with terrible contracts that completely restrict you. And to keep the team in the post season for 18 of 19 years with that is pretty amazing.

All i know, is the phillies have spent money like that the last few years and have done nothing but get worse ever year. So in many ways, I absolutely respect what Cashman has done ... same thing happened to Theo, he wasnt able to MAINTAIN
