NFL Salary Cap Space | Over The Cap

Are these numbers accurate?

If these numbers are accurate, I can see the Colts and Browns dominating in the next 5 years. Those were two pretty good teams and with the kind of cash available, why couldn't they just keep growing?

What if the Colts signed Le'Veon Bell to add to that offense? Add another offensive lineman in round 1 and a WR in round 2, and then sign a couple decent pieces in FA for that defense?

The Browns, they were a headache to everyone in the second half of the year and were getting better and better. They have so many pieces in place, and with that kind of salary cap space, geeze.

With that said, can't see how we do not resign Green and Boyd to a new extended contract with our cap space available.

Not to go all Mike Brown on you, but the Browns will have to be careful with their cap space.... They have a nice roster of young talent, but the bill is going to come due for a lot of those guys in the next couple of years. They'd be smart to try extending the guys once they are eligible for extension, rather than waiting until FA. But yes, they are definitely in position to make a Super Bowl run. QB on rookie contract, plenty of cap space, good young talent.... They can add pieces like the Rams did this year to make their run.

I don't think the Colts will add Bell - Their GM basically said he doesn't want the headache. But they can certainly add all the pieces they need and they have a franchise QB. They should quickly be back to the top of the AFC-S.

Won't those teams have to make some heavy purchases this year though if they are going to get to the cap floor, even if it is one to two year contracts for some free agents?

my guess is these teams will sue the NFL for anything they have to spend over 170,050,000, and if that doesn't work, then the default plan of distributing the money.
