This does not mean it will happen this year, but what I am asking is which team with zero championships has the best chance and will win a championship in the next 3 to 5 years. To me it's a toss up between the Thunder or the Clippers but not likely to happen

Clips or Thunder. My third choice would be not the Knicks

According to this article the Thunder own all the Sonics stuff now, but they are still choosing not to recognize the title with the gold patch on the uni. So both answers are correct, they own the title, but don't want it recognized as theirs.

Nah. They're still claiming Seattle history. They only left the colors and name for Seattle if they get another franchise but OKC stills technically owns the assets, which include the Sonics history. Which is kinda bullshit when you think about it but then again, that whole move was a bunch of bullshit.

So yeah, technically OKC shouldn't be on the OP's list either
