The question: What movie did you watch that made you think it will never end?

It doesn’t have to be the longest movie just one that seemed to drag on and on

For me it has to be Mr Holland’s Opus

I took a flight from Philly to LA and that was the movie they were showing
I started watching it and then fell asleep
Woke up and movie was still playing so I watched some more and fell asleep again
Woke up and that fucking movie was still playing and not only that there was still like an hour left
That damn movie dragged on and on and what’s worse is it made the flight drag on and on

I was dating a deaf girl with 2 music-teacher parents about the time that movie came out. Kinda odd timing…

Fictional movies about stand up are similar to fictional movies about music. If the art they show on screen is crap, it ruins the integrity of the story being told.

And too often, the jokes/songs are crap.

2 movies come to mind where everyone watching fell asleep. And both were critically acclaimed award winners:

“Always”-This was a Steven Spielberg, I think
“The English Patient”-dear lord, this movie felt like it was 24 hours long.
