What is the point for keep Bowen?

Financially it doesn't makes sense. On the field it looks like Baker and Jenkins are going to be the #2 and #3 De's. If we keep 4 DE's which we are likely to do you cant have your 4th DE making that kind of money. right? It looks like its going to be Hatcher, Baker, Jenkins, and Golston(b/c of special teams)

Do you really see the Skins cutting Jenkins for Bowen? That is the only way he makes this team. As far as NT goes its Coefield, then the backup job gets interesting with Geathers, Neild, and Thomas.

You keep him if you think he is currently better than Jenkins and/or Golston. But he may not be. His contract puts a big target on his back. Much like Chester, he may not make this team primarily because his performance doesn't justify his pay compared to the others he is competing with.

i dont know what you have been reading but the staff likes bowen . i see us keeping golston jenkins , hatcher and bowen with geathers in the mix and baker

cofield is the NT with baker and geathers in relief

you are right about bowen and the cash is too much

jy19 you cant compare the two b/c Chester's backup is a rookie. So I can see why they would want a veteran to start the season. Plus Chester's contract is not even close to Bowens. Seven D lineman in a 3-4 defense is a bit much skins dad. The extra player on defense should go to LB position b/c of special teams. Rak,Kerri,Murphy,Jackson,Riley, Robinson, Jordan, Sharpton, and Hayward.
