All three areas were basically dominated by 1 player a piece...........

Offense - without Taylor Martinez, what the hell would they have done? He accounted for 385 out of 438 total yards

Defense - without LaVonte David, what the hell would they have done? What did he have? 15 tackles?

Special Teams - without Abdullah, we may have lost. That field position, and not to mention (TD RETURN!!!) that he provided were huge.


So, based on the expectations that I have for each group......

The reason I'm giving the offense a D+ is because almost 300 of our total yards came on 6 plays...............that is not a good sign.

Also, our running game continues to be dormant.............because we can't block and our offensive line gets blown up every single play.

So, while Taylor Martinez getting 385 yards is neat and all, it's not gonna work all year long.

Fresno St is a damn good team year in and out no matter what their record is, we were lucky to get that fucker Carr as a soph. cause he can make some throws. I never expected we would run over these guys, and I applaud Pat Hill and scratch my head as to why he is looked past in the ridiculous coaching carrousel that takes place every Jan. in College Football

Our Defense will tighten up and we'll probly be average there. Our Offense, in all areas outside of our line we are set, in that other area we are fucked, in turn the rest of the Offense will be along for a rough ride this year, they are going to have to try and play and win in spite of our own line

Special teams played pretty well, some missed tackles here and there, aside from the run back they had with the dude that is like a rocket, they did ok. Ameer is a True Freshman! Wow!

After a nights sleep, I will state my opinion. A slow start put us behind due to poor decision making on both O and D.

Signs of life in the second qutr keep us in it.

After FSUs first series in the second half we dominate on Offense.

Martinez used his legs and arm to get it done AND had the team backing him up, HUGE step there.

Defense picked it up and did what they had to do.

I personally think this was our toughest ooc opponent this year. Hill lives for the Big Dogs.

If we play the same game against UDub we win 45-14.

Take it for what its worth but Id rather have a close game against Fresno

than a blowout over Chattanooga any freakin day.

I'll probly watch it again, as I still want to watch the O-line as a whole.. but my initial thoughts are that they weren't playing that poorly, but going up against 8-9 guys every time.. 5 against 8-9 isn't exactly fair
