I wouldn't say it is the scheme necessarily. Both Wisconsin and Oklahoma use the 3-4 and do it pretty damn well.
I would say some talent doesn't match up but the main thing to me is they don't tackle. they throw themselves at the player and they, especially the front 7, don't seem to have enough reps to develop muscle memory. Bad decisions, slow decisions and this gawt danged rugby tackling. Or at least I guess that's what it is.
