I call BS...totally unsubstantiated garbage even.

I'll admit when I was wrong: In the four classes 2010-2013, according to Sooner Stats, it is almost 50%.

203-413.

I don't have the energy to go back the past 100 years or so, so I'll admit defeat on the percentages point.

Still, Hook 'em Horns!

Anyone remember going down to Commerce Street.
Wow. That was some intense shit.

the first year I went to Dallas, we stayed at the Baker. We did the loop by hoof and in a rag top. We stayed at the Baker, 10 of us in a room, and had a gas. You could wander the floors of the Baker and there were parties everywhere and all you had to do, for the most part, was walk on in.

the tossing tv's out of the 10th floor of a hotel window was a few years before my time. You still had a couple of hundred/more people tossed in jail before the next morning.

Seems the game was always a 1:30 game, the years we went. If you got tossed in jail, but were sober and not being a pain in the ass, by 10 or so the next morning, you'd be let out in time to get to the game.

Damn, that was some fun shit.

So you are the grammar authority, also? Tell me, did you graduate from OU? I highly doubt you even went to college based upon your maturity level and posting obsessiveness.

sez the dude who was put in da corner under one ID and is back with another.....

Why are you licking a record and why do you have to wear that "special" helmet thingy? Are you slow like the others?

Because they taste good...DUH!

That helmet is my WIT amplifier. I have an extra I will loan you, as long as you don't wear it when you have your head up your ass.

Stupid is as stupid does Sir.

You're calling me stupid? You're the one wearing that jockstrap on your head licking a vinyl record. Is that what you do for fun when you aren't chasing tornados?

A little bit of history and perspective before the Red River Rivalry:

Have you ever wondered what the fans are cheering for when they say "Boomer Sooner"???

A Boomer - Was originally known as one of the people who were petitioning and lobbying the government to open up unassigned Oklahoma Land for settlement. This was back in the late 1800's and dealing with the Indian Land Laws. This definition would quickly become known for something else.

A Sooner - Is quite frankly A Cheater. You see, once the land was opened up due to Boomer influence, they had the Oklahoma Land Run. People were allowed to start at the same place and time, and race to a piece of land (160 acres) and claim it. The rules were simple - fair play. However, some people went in early and staked off their land ahead of time, in effect, cheating others out of it. These people were known as "Sooners."
Sometimes that was not appreciated by others, and during the race at times people would try to fairly claim what they thought should still be open land. These people were shot down by the Cheating Sooners. These shooters became referred to in some circles as "Boomers."

** It is actually quite funny to realize that every time they start chanting Boomer Sooner - they are actually praising themselves for being cheating felons!:laugh3:

Oh, and Bevo says "Hookem"!

Longhorns - 35
Cheating Felonious Land Thieves - 27
For future reference, the only Oklahomans who consider "Sooner" at all insulting these days are those with closer connections to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater than to Oklahoma University in Norman. They're "Cowboys", not "Sooners". Even they are more likely to joke about it than to take offense.

This thread needs the online equivalent of euthanasia. It's longer than it ever should have gotten.
