The gubmint shut it down, just like the carburetor that got 100 miles to the gallon 50 years ago.

They didn't want to lose money, eh?

If you haven't seen the documentary "Death of the Electric Car", I highly recommend it.

They had electric cars before or at the same time as the combustion engine.

They're hard to find but they're still around.

That car is gas...wish I could find one because most of 'em rusted away and they're worth a mint!

I once looked at how one could power a boat with hydrogen that was created at the dock by a seawater fuel cell. The thing is, it costs nearly as much for the sacrificial anode metal as it would to just fill up with diesel. Moreover, you're boat would be a floating bomb.

If cars ran on water, water would be $4 a gallon and you'd get arrested for stealing for leaving the beach with wet towels.

Right now we do. As soon as water replaced oil as our primary fuel source it would become "scarce".

Well, as the video said, 22 gallons of water would take you from the East Coast to the West Coast.

22 gallons of gas in comparison would take you across a couple states. It would be wayyy more efficient.

Of course it would, which means our access to water would be restricted. People can't make any money giving things away for free.

Basically what needs to happen is I need to go invent one of these water cars and then just not tell anyone. Then I can spend the rest of my life traveling for free :smokin:
