Can't ask for much with the way this team is playing. How about a team identity? Your best player is a rookie RB, get him more than 9 carries. How can a self-described ground and pound team run the ball so little?

I have to believe the thinking here is why take the chance in garbage time. The kid cant get hurt on the bench. Rams luck and all.

He should have more than 9 touches in the first half alone. The game was still tight at that time.

First, if you have as many 3 and outs that we have, that alone is going to limit his carries? Secondly, our oline is so young and not very good yet, then add in the fact that those guys got hurt and we have their backups in there now?
Thirdly, I have no problem getting Mason some playing time, I still think he is a decent back, our season is done, no sense letting Gurley take all the pounding, your just asking for him to get hurt, then what do we have?

Good

Now all Fisher has to do is fire himself so this team can finally start moving in the right direction.

Firing t he OC doesn't do any good when the guy responsible for hiring him in the first place is still around to continue to make the same mistakes.

Exactly, so who is hiring the next OC? Oh the guy that hired all the past ones that have sucked, ya that should workout well!

Rob Boras (TE coach) takes over play-calling. Hooray, more throws to Cookie!

Agreed, but there has to be a greater commitment to the run than 13 out of 50 plays (15 if you count 2 runs by Foles, which I doubt were planned runs), especially when those runs averaged 5.2 ypc. Foles only averaged 4 yards per pass attempt.

Boras isn't going to make a positive difference. The real problem remains. Smed stated it best. See post #29.

I doubt that will do any good Rambunctious. This organization is dead from the neck up (coaches, scouts, directors, CEO's, GM, Owner).

I want the team to forfeit the rest of their games to save my brain cells and sanity. That and to have Fisher fired the day after the regular season ends, if not sooner.

I try not to care too much about this, but I can't help it, it has been ingrained in me since I was a kid.

I think we obviously need to run the ball but that average is tainted quite a bit when Gurley busted one for 34 yards, and one was a reverse with Austinfor 12 yards, then Mason had one for 15, so the other 10 carries went for 7 yards, that's not good, and that's why we have so many 3 and outs, or 3rd and longs!

There's always going to be good plays and bad. I could also say the running game was responsible for at least 3 first downs with big plays.

Two of those plays happened on one drive (Mason, then Austin). The Rams proceeded to throw the next 3 plays out of the shotgun (incomplete deep to Cook, dump-off to Mason for 3, incomplete short to Cook) and punt. Way to take two solid plays, then remove any threat of another run. At least take the snap under center and use play-action...
