US ARMY retired /mod.
1st round , top ten guys should be perennial PB candidates and start from day one
10-25 should be guys who start from day one and push a pro bowl selection every year
25-32 should be 1st year starters or push very hard for one on superbowl teams
2nd rounders could be end of year starter but most likely should be a starter by year 2 . should be a solid player
3rd rounders special teams guy year one solid back up . year 2 he should compete for a starters job, year 3 he should be a starter
4th rounder special teams stalwart year one . spot starter by year 2-3 . career BU maybe lasts 5 seasons until newer picks come in
5th rounder . special teams guy most likely for his career might last a few seasons until newer picks come in
6th rounder , this starts the round where you take fliers on guys be it for character , size and speed injuries . most likely lasts a season or 2 until new picks come in
7th rounder , where you draft specialists . late round fliers on the above things most likely training camp fodder or PS material .
this is my general guideline . it isnt perfect but this is close to how i value picks . if a pick goes past my expectations in the later rounds or in the other rounds and slots then an excellent pick was made
