The month of September doesn't matter as much as it did 5 to 6 years ago. Less playing time in the preseason means teams are using September to figure out who they are, Oct and Nov to put together a real plan, Dec to get a playoff spot and sharpen up their players and game plans for Jan. This holds true for the good teams...don't let these early games fool you...trust me

NFL is a season of quarters now more than ever.

1Q...figure out who you are.

2Q...factor in suspended players, hopefully get your IR to return guys

3Q...should have faced everyone in the DIV at least once now, you are what you are by now

4Q...make that playoff push, or draft position tank

We learned the Bills twitter guy sucks at Geography.

Twitter roasts the Bills following social media blunder

Or was a week off on the map placement...

Clay Mathews is still not allowed to touch quarterbacks

That was a textbook penalty under the current rules. He doesn't get special treatment because of his woman's hairstyle.

I continue to be unimpressed by Mitch Trubinsky

Seems on the road to a serviceable, not franchise changing career

If he works real hard, puts in the time, he could easily become the next Blake Bortles......

Yep, at this point, he's looking very much like a Blake Bortles or Case Keenum... below average starter quality but might be able to do some things with Talent around him

I'm not seeing a special skill set, arm, accuracy, intelligence
Nothing stands out to me

Lots of flawed teams in the AFC and NFC.

Seems like the 1st Qtr of the season is more in a state of flux than normal.

AFC.

I'm not surprised at the JAX/TN game at all, JAX is not an OFC you can trust week to week. NE and PIT look pretty average at best, PIT doesn't even look like a playoff contender. KC is starting gang busters, but has already given up 92 pts. OAK went from a contender to a bottom feeder in a few weeks of the offseason. I thought HOU was going to at least a 8-9 win team and they still might be, but not so far.

NFC

Are the Bucs and 'Skins for real? The Vikings being slapped around at home by a rookie QB?

I also learned that Philip Rivers is going to lead yet another SB caliber roster to a 7-9 season

You don't learn much in September.

The Chiefs were the best team in football last year after 4 games in September and Alex Smith was the early favorite for MVP.

Pats starting slow isn't anything new but if they were to lose at home to the Dolphins next week to fall 3 back including losing the tiebreaker. Would get interesting for sure. Looking forward to that game already

The Bears had to come back against the worst team in the NFL yesterday to win by two.
Yes, yes they did win.

Still doesn't change the fact that GB is Rodgers. They have shit for talent after him... And everyone outside of GB fans know this.

Again, GB is lucky they are not 0-3.

That someone is going to land a great safety next year in Earl Thomas

That the Rams are legit

That being labeled 16+ under dogs can piss off even the Bills

Bree's is still a god!

The Cowboys are who we thought they were
