These types of ill advised draft moves are why this team has won one playoff game in the last 17 years. The trade up for Claiborne was also a dumb move. I do wonder if Marinelli said this was a cant miss player? I would trust his judgement more than Jerrah or Stevie.

I think they moved up because they believed the last good pass rusher wasn't going to last until they were up. We can only speculate as to how right they were. On the bright side, at least they picked up a defensive player and at least they're acknowledging they need help up front on both sides of the ball. It's too bad it appears S isn't a major concern for them though, and it's too bad they'll probably have to pass on a project like A.J. in the 4th or 5th.
