Its justified because losing possession in the end zone should be just as bad as a turnover. Again, its not the field of play, its the end zone.

I just don’t feel that the ball should be considered a turnover because of where the fumble occurred. The defense didn’t get possession of it. Give the offense the ball back at the 10 or 20 yard line with whatever down is next.
