Anybody use Yandex before? It's a Russian browser, kind of like chrome for Russians.
I remember reading about it is all I can say. Never tried it. I think it is included in some Linux distro is why I remember it.
Because Chromium is the open source project that results in releases of Google Chrome, the histories of the two are intertwined. Chromium is a project, with all releases developmental, with Chrome being the official stable release.
Try the Ghostery add on, it'll stop a lot of that.
Thanks. Just installed it.
Off the top of your head, anyone I should block without question?
I used Firefox for years....but it got all buggy and after several attempts to uninstall/reinstall I switched over to Chrome and haven't looked back.
Chrome works good, I always have as a option to use. However I just hate that they mine your data. Rather use the under dogs. True you can take steps to block Chrome from mining, but heck I would rather go with a browser that isn't working 24/7 to gather my data.
Besides it is fun to try other browsers, at least for me.
Hey Harold, the Midohri browser built into bodhi linux is available as a download. Here's the link. It isn't supported for Windows 8.1 as of yet.

Bookmarks
Everyone loves bookmarks, and you can save sites to your hearts content. You can even create launchers and add things to your Speed Dial.
Right off their features page, maybe it is like Opera and it opens when you click the new tab button...I didn't try much when I was using it in bodhi.
