Drinking my last Narwhal from the 4 pack I bought. Wish I had grabbed the other three 4 packs that were there.

Bent Paddle Cold Press Black Ale.

Just became available in 12 oz. cans last month, sold in 4 packs. It's pretty damn good. For a brewery that's little more than a year old - they have some really good offerings already.

Good choice but a bit too strong for football viewing..... at least for me. I'd never get through a 3.5 hour football game. Stone's Supremely Self-Conscious Black IPA is also good and it's only 5.0%. The prices of some of these beers is getting ridiculous. I live in a state where there are a million breweries and prices are still too high. I recently bought a 22 oz. bottle of Pyramid's Outburst IIPA for $2.99. Good beer, great price. :suds:

Huh? They have another black IPA??? I've never even seen this one! NYC is half-assed on carrying Stone, Mendocino, and other Cali brews. They have Arrogant Bastard, but not Double Bastard; they have the regular IPA but not the Go To or the Ruination; they carry the Smoked Porter but not the Coffee Milk Stout; and I hardly ever see their Pale Ale...how can you not carry a line's Pale Ale?

And I hear you on the pricyness...some of those high-end brews I can only afford to buy every once in a while. Not worth it as an everyday beer, and they lose a bit of their specialness if you drink them all the time, anyway. Skol.

Bought a case of Spatan Lager. Nothing as smooth as a fine German lager. It's like Stella without the after bite. Very good.:suds:
