I for one am because hes a big guy thats injured more and more tha just hit 30. I dont expect his numbers to ramp up, I could see a great year or two but I think after that the lions will be seeing a big hit in production.

Lionstop if the lions were planning on the super bowl this year they would have retained suh, they are rebuilding again unfortunately. Its not going to be a playoff season for them unless staff figures it out.

Similar bodied Plaxico Burress was putting up good numbers too. Then, about when he was like 28 or 29, came to the point where he was barely ever practicing, just suiting up on game days. Still put up decent stats until he passed 30. Hard to gauge much passed because his jail time, but still at like 34 with maybe 7 years of games he was over the hill.

I was reading recently how Harris Smith, aka Plaxico Burress, aka Plexiglass was considering a comeback.

Not sure how serious he is aboot it. He'd be a somewhat slower Fauria at this point Id think.

I just dont agree. Suh was too expensive to retain. They didnt dump him, he left. Our SB chances are greater now.

Don't see how our SB chances could possibly be better THIS without Suh. It's not like we added anything, at any position with the savings. Mayhew did try to fill a hole, but no way he, or anybody fills a hole like that.

The defense will still be good. We'll be just as good as the other good non-Suh teams in the league.

I guess the 'injury issue' doesn't worry me about him. If it were something serious, like his knees or achilles or something like that -- I would definitely have worries though.

Broken fingers and high ankle sprains aren't age related injuries, IMO. It just comes with the territory.

With the kind of shape they say Calvin keeps himself in -- I definitely don't see a dramatic drop in his production.

Its called Numba 9.

Unfortunately I think Stafford is limited in Caldwell's O. They're treating him more like a game manager than a franchise star QB, instead leaning heavily on the D.

Maybe all that changes w Suh gone.

I think CJ would rather play football in to his late 30's than play kiddie video games.. I think CJ is more interested in money than ''madden'' .:pound:. He could be the next Reggie Wayne imo

I dunno man..... but at least we played the mighty Dolphins in '14 instead of '15.

Smitty, The Lions D should be fine.. It's the offense that worries me. Stafford needs to throw more side arm passes for td's as far as im concerned. The Lions need to buck up and start scoring more points

I'll be concerned aboot the O if Caldwell tries to make it a run first without a real RB and without an upgraded line. I won't be concerned if upgrades are made on that side of the ball.

But I think we'll be more of SOL than last years Lions. Lots of points scored, by both teams. (you'll get some of thosesidearm TDs, along with the usual picks, imo.) Should be good for Stafford owners in fantasy football though.

We will have to wait and see again. One thing about us Lions fans, we are always optimistic

Calvin plays Madden and FIFA religiously in real life. He uses Man City in FIFA.

CJ can play all the video games that he wants . Just as long as he keeps on catching footballs for the Lions is all I care about

Amen. I just pray Mayhew doesn't get a hard on for a RB or WR in the 1st round this year. Upgrade the OL before talking about being a running team. Get some depth at DT before worrying about a #5 WR.
